Mario, age 1
Meet our handsome and gentle boy, Mario. He is a domestic short hair gray with white male of 11 months old and almost 10 lbs! This guy was abandoned in an apartment complex several months ago. A lovely couple started to feed him and care for him, but could not bring him inside. They reached out to us, and we took him into our care and now ... well, he is amazing and ready for that special place to call home! As you can see, Mario does a lot of "lounging around". Yep, that's him ... Mr. Loungabout. LOL. He likes to hide under the bureau, but he is starting to get too big to get in and out of there! He is pretty laid back and is enjoying the indoor life of a pampered cat - just purrfect in our world! Mario is a little shy at first, but if you show him love and patience and give him just a little time, he will warm up to you in no time! He will actually chirp and talk to you when he wants more love scratches on his head, ears and butt. He is not a lap cat, but will snuggle next to you on the couch when he is ready for some down time/TV time. He is GREAT with the dogs in the house, goes right up to them and leans on them, rubs on them and snuggles with them. He would probably be fine with other cats too if you introduce slowly and appropriately! Mario is a chatterer ... he is a vocal guy, but not loud, just a chit chat kind of dude who lets you know when he needs something or wants to be known in your surrounding area of the house. We will not place Mario in a home with kids under the age of 13 as young, loud children will frighten him. He just needs a mellow, cat savvy home where he can be himself and acclimate in his own time. Mario is completely litter box trained and is a good eater! He eats dry kibble routinely and gets a little bit of wet food a few nights a week as a treat. He was born about March 1, 2021 ADOPTIONS ONLY TO PEOPLE LIVING IN THE NORTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA AREA.
