Adira, age 9

Eligible applicants must live within 30 - 45 mins from Tulsa have a secure/fenced in yard and a solid vet reference.
We also will not place her with children under the age of 13.

Adira is a precious spayed female apricot Miniature Poodle weighing about 13 lbs. She is definitely a submissive and small, lap-like doll baby. The first few pics show her after being shaved. You can see her skin is still pink and irritated. In her more recent pics, her hair is a tad longer, skin less pink, and she is looking much better already!

Adira is 95% house trained and does not need to be crated, She will crate, but baby gating her is a great option as well.  She has very good indoor dog manners. She is fine with other dogs and did fine with her cat testing. She was curious but didn't chase. Adira is very submissive and is still "head shy" ... she literally hits the ground when you go to pet her, but OMG, she is so sweet; wouldn't hurt a fly. Her personality is just darling ... so loving, so giving, in spite of her hardships.

This little girl was terribly neglected. When she came to us, she had a horrid flea infestation, matting all over her body, bald spots from constant scratching and skin irritation all over. Her nails were terribly long and her teeth needed attention desperately. We took care of all that, and now she is recovering and bouncing around like a puppy. She loves to run out the back door with her foster buddies, chasing whatever they are chasing, and is enjoying her new life at a second chance for love and comfort.

Recently, she found the toy basket and is flinging them around and having a blast playing with them. She loves her foster mom and dad, and follows them around like their shadow when she isn't exploring a new spot or smell in the yard, or in the house. So much to do and see! She is also very snuggly and likes to hang out on her bed with her front legs crossed like a dainty little lady.

Adira's coat is growing back in nicely, but it will take time to be soft and Poodle-lush again. We have her on a high quality food and some skin supplements to help her coat. She LOVES to eat, so no problems here and it's easy to slip and medication and/or supplements into her food or with a pill pocket. Food is her favorite game!

Adira is a sweet, sweet girl. She deserves the best and a loving home where she will never be neglected again. She will require routine, professional grooming to keep her coat healthy.  Adira was born about September 2011.

Buzz, age 4

Buzz is a darling mix of likely a beagle and chihuahua. He is 17 lbs and very sweet. This dog is calm and easy going. He has had a rough start with his life, so we are ready to change ALL of that and place him in an amazing home so that he can be loved!  Buzz is great with the foster dogs at the foster home and with his foster mom. He is a little shy of the foster dad, but we are working on that. We think he would be fine with kids who are dog savvy and over the age of 10.
Buzz will do best in a home where someone works part time or is retired. He just prefers to not be alone.  Buzz is house trained and crate trained. He is a very good boy. Buzz was born about May 2016.

Evana, age 1

Evana is a beautiful spayed female terrier mix weighing about 35 lbs. She is the perfect sized dog, not too big, not too small. She is low shedding and ready for love.   Evana is house trained and crate trained. She loves to play with other dogs once she knows them and is comfortable with them. She loves people! She was pretty scared around people at first, but slow and easy progress has shown us she is smart and willing to accept love and affection. Evana can be independent and will chill out on her own with her toys or in her crate relaxing while the door is open.   This girl needs a safe and secure yard, and is waiting for a family with no children under 12, please.  Evana was born about August 2019.

Honey, age 2

Honey is a sweet spayed female lab mix weighing about 47 lbs. Honey came to us in very bad shape, and we think had recently been hit by a car with minimal injuries. We received a call about her being at a business, curled up behind a concrete parking curb, hunkered down, shut down. One of our volunteers went to check it out and she was able to befriend her quickly, but had to pick her up and put her in the car, she would not stand.   She was diagnosed with demodex mange, which is very easily treatable and nOT contagious. Her skin is recovering more each day. Her ears were infected and she had a bilateral eye infection. She is learning to be loved and is enjoying the luxuries of a comfortable and great foster home, pool side and all! You can see how her face has changed, from sad and unsure to happy and playful! Her rescue journey is healing her inside and out.

Honey is house trained, crate trained and playful. She likes people, a lot, once she gets to know you. She can be shy at first, but give it a minute with some treats and positive rewards and look out, she’s your new best friend. She is good with other dogs and plays with them in a clumsy but cute fashion. She likes to gnaw on an antler every now and then and is okay on leash.   This girl clearly was not loved prior to coming to us … she was neglected, but is on the mend and is looking for her new forever home. We prefer to place her in a home with children over the age of 12 and perhaps with another playful dog in the house. She needs kind, gentle people who will take their time with her and love her forever. She really is a gem  Honey was born about August 2018.

JinJin, age 5

JinJin is a spayed female Border Collie/Heeler Mix weighing about 49 lbs.  JinJin is such a FUN dog! She loves Frisbee, leash walks, hikes, and mountain biking. She likes toys and knows a lot of tricks. She settles down for cuddling and is a calm companion for Netflix and chill. She is crate trained but can be reliably left loose in the house all day.  Jin-Jin can be initially shy with strangers but warms up very quickly. It takes a little time for her to adjust to new surroundings, so she needs a home that will allow her a couple of weeks to feel comfortable. She likes kids, but because of their unpredictability, will do best in a home without children under the age of 15. Ideally, she will do best in a home with no more than two people, possibly three. It all depends on the demographic.
JinJin gets along very well with other friendly dogs, but will also thrive as the only dog. She knows SIT, DOWN, WAIT, HIGH FIVE, GET BACK, TOUCH (touches her nose to your hand), OVER (hurdles), GO TO YOUR SPOT, and many other cues.  JinJin is also good with cats!  JinJin may be just what you are looking for.   She was born about February 2015.
