Badger

To be eligible to apply, you must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a solid dog/vet reference, and a secure fenced-in yard

WHO WANTS TO PLAY FETCH?! Badger is on the scene and he loves to play ball, so let's do it!  This very handsome boy is one and a half - two years old and 47 lbs. on a medium sized frame. His white is super white, and those markings, we just love them. His breed is a mystery, so we are calling him a mix of a Smooth Fox Terrier and a Cattle Dog. He really has striking markings!  When we first met him, as strangers, he immediately came right up to me and was friendly, happy, interactive and ready for attention. He clearly is a confident dog who wants to please his people.

Badger seems to be somewhat independent and athletic. He may even be a candidate for some agility fun in the back yard, frisbee or fetch! This guy is going to make a loyal friend for life.  Badger is great with other dogs; he wants to play with them for sure. He would love another playmate his size or smaller down to 20 lbs, he played nicely with a 20 lb. dog at his foster home.  He didn't seem to be impressed by the cats at our vet's office, and he did fantastic with two kids in a temporary home, ages 6 and 8. He was gentle and responsive to them.  He is working on house training and is working on his crate training.

Badger is a smart dog who would probably love an obedience training class, so we are throwing a 9 week training class in with his adoption at K9 Manners and More in Broken Arrow; a $160.00 value! He will love training and likely excel quickly. You will both have fun with this ... it's a great way to bond with your dog and get what you want from him in all of the best ways!  Badger loves toys too, but he needs the tougher ones, like antlers and nyla bones. A stuff kong or other puzzle for crate time is also a winner for him.  This guy sure will make a great family pet so please check him out today!  Badger was born about July 2021.

Del

To be eligible to apply, you must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a solid vet reference, and a secure privacy fenced-in yard,
- no chain link fences for Del, please,
privacy only.

Del is a beautiful Great Pyrenees and Labrador Retriever mix. We are positive he is part Pyrenees because he has double dewclaws on his back two legs. This is indicative of the breed ... and he has a lab head and ears for sure, so that's our educated guess!  Del is a large breed dog ... he weighs about 90 lbs now, and looks perfect! If you like BIG dogs, this may be the guy for you!  Del is easy to handle, loving and sweet. We are learning more about him each day and so far, he is a great doggo!  He has been very easy and has acclimated very well to being in and out of boarding since he doesn't have a routine foster home!

Del has a gentle spirit and is a very easy dog.  He is house trained and doing great with his crate training; zero issues. He loves to play with other dogs and goes to doggie daycare routinely and loves it! He also ignored the cats at the vet's office and could care less about the two cats at his foster home.  Del is good with men, women, kids, other dogs and cats. He is an all around kind of guy. He knows sit, down and we are working on shake too!

Del is eating 6 cups of food per day, so when considering an extra large breed dog like this, be prepared to have a sound budget for his quality food!  He loves to roam around the yard, sniffing and exploring. He is a great work from home doggie supervisor too ... as you can see in these pics, he is staring at his foster mom, making sure she stays efficient and busy!  He can entertain himself with a stuffed Kong or chew toy, or can enjoy play time with another dog.  He is AMAZING! Check him out today!   Del was born about February 2021.

Please contact Amy at 918-688-0755 or AmyH@rescuednready.com if you are interested in this dog.    Or CLICK HERE to download, then complete and submit an application. Dixie

To be eligible to apply, you must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a solid
dog/vet reference, and a secure privacy fenced-in yard.

Dixie is a looker! She is a unique scruffy looking girl of 2 yrs old and 34 lbs. She really is the perfect size for a family looking for a smaller to medium sized dog! She can be placed as an only dog, or with a family with another dog(s) if they are a good match for her! That's what our home visits are all about; meeting and checking out their personalities to see if we have a match!  Dixie is house trained and crate trained. She is also good with other dogs and kids. She will do best in a home without cats. We think she would do fine with kids ages 8 and older. She has a great temperament. She does shed, on a scale from 1 - 10, with 10 being the most shedding, she is about a 4 - 5 when brushed routinely.

Dixie loves to play outside and squirrel hunt! One day she may catch one! Foster mom often sees her staring at the tree, so still like a statue, hoping the squirrel will come down the tree to be chased! She has a moderate energy level and will engage in play with you or another dog as you can see by her lovely play bow with one of her foster brothers. Some of these other pictures were taken of her while watching squirrels in the trees, a true terrier at heart!

This little girl has come a long way. When she first came to us, she was detached emotionally, timid and scared. Now, her gentle and fun personality shines through because she is loved and feels safe. She will act timid with new people, but gains confidence quickly with them.  Inside the home, she is calm and quiet, soft toys and stuffed Kongs. She will try to defeat short baby gates to explore her surroundings, but a four-foot gate can keep her contained.  Dixie loves leash walks with a safe slip lead type leash. Her leash walking skills are improving daily! She is learning to enjoy affection and boy, that love for human touch has come full circle! She clearly was neglected and didn't know much about how fun the life of a dog could be, so now it's time for us to find the perfect family for her. She sure has earned it!   Dixie was born about November 2020.

Email us an application today about her and we will call you to discuss IF you meet the basic requirements mentioned in the very beginning of his bio.  Dixie MUST have a privacy fence in her back yard.

Please contact Amy at 918-688-0755 or AmyH@rescuednready.com if you are interested in this dog.    Or CLICK HERE to download, then complete and submit an application. Holly

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 30 minutes of Tulsa,
have a solid vet reference and a secure fenced-in yard.

Meet our sweet girl named Holly ... she is like a mini bird dog, so we think she has some German Shorthair Pointer. Her markings are like that of a tick hound too, but she is much small than both of those breeds. We just aren't sure what breeds she is mixed with but just know she has a great temperament!

Holly is about 1 and a half years old and 44 lbs. She is so darn sweet, we can hardly stand it!  This little girl is friendly, happy, affectionate, playful, gentle, curious, smart and ready for love. Can you tell she loves her toys?!  Holly is great with other dogs, but will do best in a home with no cats. She LOVES to go on walks/runs, is house trained and crate trained. She is one SMART girl! She has learned sit, shake and down!

Because of her great temperament, Holly is very good with kids, and we would happily place her in a home with children ages 8 and older.  Holly has a lot of personality. She is playful and animated at times, so get ready to chuckle about the funny things she does. She is still in her adolescent chewing phase some times, so best to crate her when you aren't home or able to watch her well, and give her plenty of chew appropriate items!  Holly is a star, so give us a call today about her. This loving dog deserves a home asap!  She was born about August 2021.

Jan

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 30 minutes of Tulsa,
have a dog/vet reference and a secure fenced-in yard.

We have not yet done a kid test or cat test. Our organization strives to find
the best fit for our pets --we do not manage our applicants
on a first come first served basis.

Meet Jan, our very unique long hair female Chihuahua mix of 1.5 yrs old and 12 lbs. Her brindle coloring is just gorgeous; a perfect blend of browns and blacks make her so unique! Her frame is small but long. She is beautiful and has a sweet personality to match her cute little body! Her wispy legs and tail are just precious!
Jan is initially a little timid, but once she knows you and trusts you, she is happy, fun, affectionate and ready for interaction! She is one of those dogs who will stand on her hind legs and pray with her front paws when she is excited. It's super cute! As you can see in two of her pictures, she loves to play cards and hang out in the back yard with her foster Dad. He won her over easily since he made an effort and knows how to build trust with our furkids!

Jan is house trained as long as you watch her diligently and make sure she gets timely potty breaks. She is crating when foster mom isn't home and overnight. A little whining at first, but she is learning well. She does best when she is kenneled next to another dog.  She loves to play ... with dogs her size and a little bigger. It's really fun to watch her get into the action with foster mom's pack! She has not been cat tested or kid tested yet.  Jan does shed a little bit, and she still needs to gain a couple of pounds. Otherwise, she is a happy and healthy girl. Please apply if you are interested in meeting her.  Check this fun girl out today!   Jan was born about July 2021.

Please apply if you are interested in meeting her -- email us an application today about her and we will call you to discuss IF you meet the basic requirements mentioned in the very beginning of his bio. THANKS!
