Barbie, age 8
SPECIAL NEEDS GIRL - BARBIE!
You must live within 30 mins of Tulsa, have a secure fenced in yard and a vet reference to be considered to adopt Barbie.
Look at this doll baby ... a beautiful, female Maltese of 8 yrs old and 13 lbs. Barbie is smart, full of love and is a super sweet little girl ready for your love. Barbie is affectionate, friendly and learns quickly. She will require routine, professional grooming. Barbie is blind so she uses a "Halo" to help her get around. Trust us, she isn't afraid of anything and will acclimate well to your home. She is smart and feisty, so her outgoing personality and determined spirit have helped her succeed with her disability. She is very independent and is not afraid to run in the yard or explore through her foster mom's house. Wearing the halo helps with this a lot, and the other dogs keep their distance from her better. She loves being outdoors and wandering around in the yard. She will run with the other dogs when she hears them and will bark with them too. We took her to the eye specialist, and both retinas have a degenerative disease which have caused them to deteriorate, creating her blindness. Unfortunately, the disease is not reversible, but it is not painful either. Barbie loves to eat, and she is currently on a diet to trim her down a bit. She is house trained when taken out on a schedule. Barbie loves to follow foster mom through the house and is her little shadow. Her hearing is very keen and she is always able to find her in the yard or house by her voice. She is a really easy dog, she just needs cues at times to find her way. She loves to snuggle on the couch and sleep close to you. Barbie was born about April 2013.

Eva, age 1
Eva is our happy, friendly and sweet spayed female Lab/Heeler mix. Her mom, Daisy, is a heeler mix, so we know that part for sure! Eva is just ONE year old now and weighs 56 lbs. We took her in as a young puppy who had been pulled under the neighbors fence and attacked by their dog. We thankfully were able to get her all fixed up and she healed while in foster care, then was adopted. Unfortunately, her human mom is ill and cannot care for her anymore, so she came back to us.
Now, Eva is a young adult and ready for love! She is an excellent dog; house trained, crate trained and knows sit. She is pretty good on leash too, but still pulls some. Eva LOVES to play with other dogs, so a playful playmate would be ideal for her. She is good with kids too, no issues there. Eva is active AND a snuggler, so she is the best of both worlds! She likes toys too. We hated to see her come back into the program, but we are confident she will find a great home. You must have a secure fenced in yard and a vet reference to be eligible to apply.

Gomez, age 1
To be eligible to apply, you must live within 30 mins of Tulsa for your home visit, have a VERY secure fenced in yard, a vet reference,
small dog experience and no children in the home under the age of 18.
Gomez is a darling neutered male Chihuahua weighing just 7 lbs. He sits like a prairie dog, so we are calling him our resident prairie dog ... and he wags his tail while sitting in that position! Now that's talent! This little guy is fearful at first when meeting new people, but once he trusts you, he is amazing. Therefore, we are looking for someone who will be patient with him, and someone who has small breed experience. A savvy Chihuahua person would be even better! Gomez is doing great on his house training and crate training. He just needs to be on a schedule, like most young dogs learning the ropes. He loves toys, enjoys playing with other dogs and LOVES snuggling with his human(s). His favorite toys are balls, chew toys, digestible raw hides and stuffed toys. Gomez is also fine with cats, so that's cool! We will not place him in a home with children. Most kids, even older ones, move too quickly and are too loud for his taste. That's ok Gomez, we get it ... you are a sophisticated guy who just wants the company of adults! Don't overlook a winner ... call us today about him! He would be the most loyal little love bug ever Gomez was born about May 2020.
The adoption fee is $250.00 and includes current vaccinations, negative heartworm test, deworming, microchip and neuter surgery.
