Belle Starr, age 3

Meet our beautiful Cowgirl, Belle Starr, a beautiful spayed female Heeler mix weighing about 35 lbs. Her face has a darling mask on it, so cute! Named after a famous cowgirl of the West, Belle is sure to be your best friend and companion for many sunsets over the range!   Belle is calm, quite and easy going. She is shy at first, but warms up quickly in the right environment. She lived in the country, on her own, for a few years, with other dogs (including her offspring), until all of them came to us in September. Now, she is ready to find a special place to call home.   Belle is a great eater and is crate trained and house trained. She has lived with other dogs. A slow and methodical introduction to other dogs went well and she is co-habitating nicely in her foster home with other dogs. We think she would also do pretty well with a cat, if introduced slowly and appropriately too.   Belle has a gentle and sensitive spirit about her. She will do best in a home that is calm, without children under the age of 12.  Belle Starr was born about October 2017.

Charlie, age 4

Meet Charlie, our little fox-look alike who is likely a Chihuahua mix, weighing about 12 lbs. He is a good little boy, and boy oh boy, he is ready for his new forever home!   Charlie is house trained and is working on learning the ropes of crate training. He is good with other dogs and adults. We think he would be fine with kids over the age of 10. While he has not been cat tested yet, if you manage a slow acclimate to an existing cat in the home, it should work just fine. We have no reason to believe he would chase a cat as he doesn't seem to have a prey drive.   Charlie is rather chill ... he enjoys snuggling with his humans and playing occasionally with a toy. He has a mild to moderate energy level. He is good on leash and did live in an apartment temporarily, so he is not a barker or noisy boy.  Charlie was born about December 2016.

Evana, age 1

Evana is a beautiful spayed female terrier mix weighing about 35 lbs. She is the perfect sized dog, not too big, not too small. She is low shedding and ready for love.   Evana is house trained and crate trained. She loves to play with other dogs once she knows them and is comfortable with them. She loves people! She was pretty scared around people at first, but slow and easy progress has shown us she is smart and willing to accept love and affection. Evana can be independent and will chill out on her own with her toys or in her crate relaxing while the door is open.   This girl needs a safe and secure yard, and is waiting for a family with no children under 12, please.  Evana was born about August 2019.

Imala, age 8

Imala is a spayed female Boxer mix who is a little underweight at 53 lbs. This is one of those very grateful dogs who knows she has been rescued. She now knows love and is a calm and loving soul.   This sweet girl suffered terrible neglect before coming into our loving care. She had a terrible ear injury and was emaciated ... her skin/coat was in horrid shape and her eyes were caked with goop and nastiness.  Imala is a Hebrew name for "strength."  She sure is a strong willed girl, surviving a rough life before meeting us.   Today, she is healthy, happy and enjoying her blanket and the love/ Imala is surrounded by her foster humans and foster dog bothers and sisters.

Imala is a senior lady who can still get around just fine, but she can be slow at times. She sleeps a lot and is somewhat hard of hearing. She likes to be outside on a sunny day and will zoom around when she is feeling frisky. She likes to play with the other dogs but it only lasts for a little bit, then she is ready for a nap again.   Imala is house trained but is not a fan of the crate. She doesn't need to be crated, though, if you have a baby gate to confine her w hen you aren't home. She is a good eater and loves affection. Just sit down on her bed with her or on the couch and she will melt into your arms. She just loves it.   Years of neglect can take a toll on a sweet baby like this. It's her time to be loved and enjoy her golden years. Do you have a place for her in your heart? She will give you unconditional love and companionship, Yeah, her face is whitening and she has some old lady skin tags, but who's perfect as they age?   We just love her, and we bet you will too. Please, call about her today. Make this holiday season a miraculous one for her. Seniors need love too and Imala is no exception!

Imala was born about October 2012.
