Callie, age 1

ELIGIBLE applicants live within 30 mins of Tulsa, have a solid vet reference, and a secure fenced in yard and no children under the age of 9.

Callie is our little female chihuahua of 1 and a half years old and 9 lbs. This little ball of love is a cutie with a calm and sweet personality! She is learning how to play with toys too and goes to the toy basket occasionally to check things out.   She is affectionate, friendly and learns quickly. If you're looking for a couch potato or snuggle buddy, this girl is for you. She's pretty laid back and really enjoys chilling out, a lot! Her favorite place is on the couch in a blanket, all snuggled up.   Callie is house trained and crate trained. She is good with other dogs, but doesn't interact with them much. She would do fine as the only dog, and is fine with foster mom's cats too! Callie has been around dog savvy kids above the age of 9 without issues.   Callie hates to go outside to potty, but she does it religiously. She needs a winter coat - who likes the cold anyway? Smart girl Callie .... we understand and Spring time can't get here soon enough!   If you are looking for a lap dog and a sweet little girl to love, Callie may be your girl!  She was born about July 2020.

Cream Puff, age 8

ELIGIBLE applicants live within 30 mins of Tulsa, have a solid vet reference, and a secure, privacy fenced in yard.

Introducing our sweet girl, Cream Puff. This darling was rescued from western Oklahoma where she lived in a pen, having puppies year after year. So unfair, but now, she is spayed and ready to enjoy her new life with a new family!
Cream Puff is an 8 year old Golden Retriever mix of 46 lbs. She is docile, happy, friendly, affectionate and pretty much starving for attention. She literally gets sweeter every day, loves to offer her paw to you and belly rubs are totally her favorite thing.  Cream Puff is house trained if watched and taken out routinely. She will crate too, but doesn't prefer it. She is good with other dogs and seems to ignore cats. She would be fine living with kids ages 8 and up.

Cream Puff is good on leash too ... and likes some of her toys. She will occasionally chew on a digestible rawhide or other chew toy. Sometimes she will grab a soft toy too and try to find the squeaker!  This girl is really a sweetheart. She does shed a little bit, which is common with her breed.

Puff is on heartworm treatment and will need to be leashed walked for at least 60 days. When a dog is heartworm positive and going through treatment, you must keep them calm, leash walk them and watch closely for lethargic behavior and coughing. As the heartworms are dying from the medication/treatment, it is stressful on the dog’s body, so we need someone who can be diligent with her and follow our instructions carefully.

Check her out today so we can get her home for the holidays! Cream Puff was born about October 2013.

Kit, age 10

Eligible applicants must live within 30 min of Tulsa, have a solid vet reference, a secure fenced in back yard, and no children under 8.

This handsome boy needs a hero, and maybe it's you.   Meet Kit, a handsome purebred Coton de Tulear of 10 yrs old and 23 lbs. Kit's owner is in hospice and will pass soon. Kit has been with this person since he was a puppy, purchased from a reputable breeder at 9 weeks old.   Kit is so sweet and is doing well during this huge transition in his life. He is great with everyone he meets, dogs, cats and people. He wants to please, be close to his person(s) and feel secure.   Kit is overweight-- his owner overfed him, so he is now on a diet and working towards getting to a healthy weight. He is a great eater, naturally, and is doing well with his reduced food plan.   Kit is on an Rx diet ... he eats Hills C/D for urinary care. He had urinary stones in 2017, so he needs to stay on this food for the rest of his life. It's really not any more expensive than a higher quality food, so don't stress. If you are one of those pet owners who pays careful attention to "what" you put into your dog, the change in price won't be significant at all!

Kit loves to lounge in his bed at foster mom's feet while she is at the computer working! He sleeps in his bed on the floor near foster mom's bed at night. He roams around the yard, checking out the smells and watches the other foster dogs fuss about squirrels.   Kit is a typical senior, and an amazing little guy.  He is easygoing, low maintenance, calm and loving. He attaches quickly.   We are looking for a calm and loving home for him, and one who is committed to his weight loss.  He was born about November 2011.

Leo, age 4

Eligible applicants must live within 30 min of Tulsa for home visit purposes, have a valid vet reference, and secure fenced in yard.

Leo is a love ... he is a Shar Pei mix of 4 years old and 80 lbs. He has never met a stranger. He is happy, friendly, affectionate and easy going.   Sadly, Leo was given away over a year ago to some random people on the internet, only to be found abandoned in a neighborhood about a month ago in neglected condition.   He is on the mend, eating well and doing amazing.      We were able to get in touch with his original owners, who gave us permission to keep him and get him into our rescue for rehoming.   Leo was great with their kids and one of the other two dogs they had in their home. Leo and one of the other dogs didn't get along well, they argued over dominance, so we will either place him in a home as an only dog, or with a more submissive dog. We have not seen ANY of this behavior from him at all, in fact, just the opposite!   Leo is house trained and crate trained. He is quiet and easy going; extremely low maintenance.  Leo is great on leash and loves people. He needs a foster family ASAP because his temporary foster is only able to hold him for another couple of weeks.  Leo has not been cat tested yet and may do well with a submissive dog. He is a total sweetheart. Leo was born about November 2017.
