Zeus

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,

February is the month for LOVE, so Happy Valentines Day from Zeus, our 75 lbs white American Bulldog Mix of 4 and a half years old!

     Zeus' striking looks are only outdone by the sweetness of his personality. He is best described as happy and goofy! He is bursting with love and ready to shower it on the people and other pets in his life. Good with cats, playful with dogs, and over-the-moon to get affection from the humans in his life. He is a happy, happy boy despite his rough start on the streets, and has been a source of joy and entertainment to his foster family. He is super easy to live with, has fully embraced living in a home, and is house trained and crate trained.

     Other pets: Zeus does well with cats, he loves other dogs, and will do well with or without other pets.

     Children: Zeus had a mini foster experience in a home with a 9 year old boy and absolutely loved him. He has not been around  children under the age of 8, but dog savvy kids who are a little older would be fine with him.

     He is a bit shy at first, but his need to love and be love quickly overcomes that. In his foster home,he is quiet and attentive. He responds very well to his name. He loves playing tug and pulling the stuffing from squeaky toys! He also enjoys chew toys, stuffed Kongs, and other food puzzles. A quick learner, he already knows the cues for SIT, TOUCH (touch his nose to your hand), OFF and he is currently learning DOWN, PLACE (go to a mat), and how to walk politely on a leash.

     Zeus is healthy and up to date on all vaccines, fecal exam, he is neutered and microchipped.  Zeus was born about April 2018.

Enzo

Meet Enzo the Maltipoo, our absolutely darling male Maltese/Poodle designer breed boy! Enzo is just about one year and 6 months old now, and only weighs 9.0 lbs. He is a little guy. His coat is lush and soft with low shedding. When his coat gets long, you can see the apricot more obviously. He will require routine, professional grooming. 

     Enzo has an incredibly sweet and gentle temperament .While he is shy at first with new people, he will warm up quickly if you give him time and patience. He loves to be held and loved on once he knows you, and he becomes more affectionate over time. He can be playful at a moment's notice and has a low to moderate energy level.  He is house trained once he knows his routine in a new home, and he will crate well overnight or when you aren't home. 

     Enzo is good with other dogs of all sizes. He has started to play with some of the dogs and is quite animated with them at times. He seems to ignore the foster cat in his foster home. He will likely do best if placed in a home with another small to medium, somewhat playful dog. He seems to be more comfortable, happy and confident when he lives with another dog who also provides him with some companionship.  He enjoys a good Nyla bone or something hard to chew on when he is chilling out and relaxing in a dog bed or at your feet when you are at the computer. He loves small, soft toys and he favors his small abominable snowman buddy. He is an adolescent, so some times, he will chew on things he shouldn't, so he still needs to be confined when you aren't home.

     Enzo's foster mom either crates him or uses a baby gate to keep him in the laundry room when she is away from home.  Enzo is not accustomed to small children, so we would prefer to place him in an adult-only home, or where children in the home are teenagers or older.  This little guy has stolen our hearts, so we will be extra particular about which forever home is best suited for him.  Enzo was born about September 2022.

Klhoee

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 45 minutes of the Tulsa area
due to the home visit requirement.  Applicants must have prior feline experience and a solid vet reference. No exceptions. 

 

Meet our GORGEOUS domestic long hair adolescent kitten named Klhoee. She is approximately 8 months old and is petite, weighing in at only 5.5 pounds as of 3/1/24. Seriously, this girl is beautiful ... her coat is like velvet, very lush and soft. And, she loves this pretty coat of hers to be brushed! Her foster mom has taught her how to enjoy the art of being brushed, so that's great!

     Klhoee was found as a kitten, and the finder tried to place her, but had a hard time. She reached out to RnRAF and we are happy to help this beauty find her new home!

     Klhoee is an easy girl. She loves to cuddle and asks for treats. She is a chatty Cathy at treat time and at meal time, definitely letting you know all about what her tummy is ready for! She knows her food routine well!

     She is playful and really likes this particular scrunchy, shiny ball. She is really cute during play time. Currently, she often plays with a young boy in the home and she is very appropriate with her play. Klhoee is friendly too ... she always greets her person when she comes home from work.  During the day, she enjoys hanging out in the sun and watching the birds and squirrels from a window.

     Klhoee enjoys taking drinks from the sink faucet. Some cats like to do this, and she does too! She wouuld probably love a little drinking water fountain at her new forever ho me.  Litter box manners are impeccable. She has never missed and she covers her potty well inside the box.  

     All in all, Klhoee is a very nice girl. We can place her as an only cat, or try her with another cat or a dog if introduced slowly and appropriately. She is happy and healthy and ready for her new home.

Tasha

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: You must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a solid vet reference and a secure fenced in yard. Please be advised that the fence type must be concrete block or a concrete barrier
or we may consider allowing her to live in an apartment setting
due to her digging/escaping ability.

Playing dress up with Tasha was fun for us humans, but Tasha was on the fence about it! Fun pics ... meet our sweet Tasha. She is approximately 8 years old and 26 lbs, a perfect size! We are calling her a cocker spaniel mix because of her desire to hunt, the shape of her head/ears and size. Her coat is soft but wirey in places. 

    Tasha is active, playful and full of zest; no old doggy genes going on with this spry girl! She is extremely friendly, affectionate, sweet natured, happy, cuddly and wants to please her people. This girl is always wagging her tail, just a happy girl!  Her indoor doggie manners are great; she is house trained and crate trained. She minds well, knows "sit" and crates easily when asked. She is totally quiet overnight and will only bark when the other dogs do or when you first come home due to excitement.  She is also great with kids. We will cat test her soon as we haven't done that yet! 

     Tasha is excellent with other dogs of all sizes. She will engage with play and communicate well with them. Playing with toys is something she has just started to do in her foster home, but she needs "tough" toys, like any terrier. Nyla bones and Kongs are great though, and she sure loves them!  This girl loves to "squirrel watch" and to be outside. This is why her yard needs to be so very safe ... see the information below about her being an avid digger. She will stare and sit for a long time, waiting and watching for the next squirrel to move in the yard! She is very intense about her squirrel hobby!  Tasha is great on leash. She does pull some, but she LOVES to go on walks. 

    Tasha is very healthy, but she does have some seasonal allergies. We are remedying those with a daily dose of generic Zyrtec and a Cytopoint injection once every 6 weeks at the vet; a monthly cost of approximately $55- $60 for an adopter. 

      Tasha's ONLY negative attribute is fence-line digging. She is very prone to dig out of any yard, regardless of how much attention she receives. Because of this, and for obvious safety reasons, we will only place her in a setting we feel is truly safe for her; in an apartment setting where she will be on leash at all times when outside, OR in a yard where there is concrete block or a concrete border in the yard. RnRAF is willing to work with an approved adopter on this critical aspect of placing Tasha. We will provide suggestions for reinforcing the fence line and may help with some of that expense on a reasonable basis.  Tasha is a very special girl and we will place her carefully to make sure she lives a long, happy life with her new owner.  Tasha was born about April 2015.

Sweet Basil

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 45 minutes of the Tulsa area
due to the home visit requirement.  We would prefer to place her in a home with someone who has prior cat experience.

This gorgeous girl never gets inquiries and she is so beautiful and easy going! Meet our Biscuit Maker, Sweet Basil. Sweet Basil is approximately 5  and a half years old and 9 lbs. What a love bug! Extremely affectionate but doesn't bug you about it ... just responds wonderfully when you do love on her. 

     Basil is an incredibly affectionate and loving girl. She is great with everyone she meets and lives in a foster home with four cat savy dogs without issue.  Litter trained and low maintenance, Basil will make a great companion cat. She will relax on the couch with you, or entertain herself easily. Once you put her on a blanket, she starts kneading her imaginary dough like crazy. She is pretty serious about her biscuits!  She is a domestic short hair, and a pretty light gray color with some white blended into her coat.

     We named her Sweet Basil because of her dark green eyes - they are quite beautiful! Her foster mom had been harvesting basil the day she came into the program, so this is how she came up with the name. It's purrfect for her though since her eyes are a bright green. 

     Sweet Basil loves belly rubs, like she will roll all over the floor while you pet on her and rub her belly. This is unusual for a cat as most don't like their bellies touched. Not Sweet Basil, she loves it!   She will occasionally play with a cat toy, but has a mild temperament and low energy level. She is just super chill, calm, laid back and easy going. Sweet Basil is what we would call a "low maintenance" cat. She just goes with the flow, which is nice! She enjoys a cat tree which allows her to look out the window, or a warm sun beam coming through on a sunny day.  She is a great eater, loves her occasional cat treats and again, is completely litter box trained. 

     Sweet Basil is FIV positive, feline immunodeficiency virus, which is one of the most common infectious diseases of cats around the world. Though there is no cure for FIV, recent studies suggest that cats with FIV commonly live average life spans, as long as they are not also infected with feline leukemia virus. She is  negative for feline leukemia virus, so we expect her to live a long, happy life!  More recent studies of the disease show that is that it is not as contagious to other cats as most think. FIV is most commonly spread through a deep bite wound from an infected cat, or through semen. Since Sweet Basil is spayed and docile, neither of these ways to spread the disease should be a problem at all!  FIV is not contagious to dogs or species other than cats.   

     Please don't let her FIV positive diagnosis get in the way of meeting her. We have successfully placed many FIV positive cats into loving homes and we can talk to you more about it too, so just give Volunteer Amy a call to chat about her.  She was born about September 2018.

Dora

Eligible applicants live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a solid a vet reference and a secure fenced in yard. 

Meet Dora, our beautiful, spunky, loyal and social Manchester Terrier mix of one year old and only 38 lbs. This girl is ready for the next chapter of her new life, so let's get started and learn more about her! 

     First of all, she is the perfect size, not too big, not too small! She is a sturdy girl who will make a fantastic companion pet and/or family pet. And that face ... so sweet and happy! Dora will not get any bigger and is at the perfect weight, so what you see is what you get!  

     Dora has an amazing personality. She is friendly, confident, loyal, affectionate, happy, fun, playful, smart and obedient. She sounds like the perfect dog, and maybe she is the one for you. Her foster parents are teaching her all of the right things, which gives her a great springboard for her new family.  She is great with other dogs. She would be fine as an only dog or in a home with other dogs. She easily plays by herself or with the three dogs in her foster home. 

     Attentive and curious, Dora likes to keep track of her person/people. She loves to snuggle up with her human or sit in their lap. She would lay on the couch with her human and watch TV all day long if she could. Dora is a lover and wants to please everyone she meets.  She also enjoys being outside and playing or laying in the sun. Dora loves a good chew toy and will seek them out when the other dogs in the home aren’t up to playing. She loves digestible rawhides, nyla bones and other tough, "terrier-suitable" options.  This girl is crate trained and house trained! She can sleep in her crate and keep it clean and dry. She does not mind going to her crate and does not cry or bark while in it.

     Dora is learning to walk on a leash and is catching on quickly.  She has not been tested with cats but has done well with every dog she has met. She likes children of all ages. She rides in the car well and is ready for her next adventure.  Our pretty little girl is healthy and has had all of her vet care managed. She is up to date on all vaccines, spayed/microchipped, heartworm negative and has a clean fecal, free of any parasites. She is also on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  Let's find Dora a home for the holidays! Maybe it's with you! Check her out today.  Dora was born about November 2022.

Kiwi

Kiwi is gorgeous, and we don't know why no one has asked about her! She is so smart and well behaved ... great with everyone! Keep reading about her and share her with your friends!

   Meet our little Kiwi girl! And her name fits her well as she is small, brown and super sweet, just like a Kiwifruit! Believe it or not, Kiwi is only 37 lbs as of 11/10/23. She looks much bigger than she is, so don't be fooled and know she is on the smaller side for sure! She will fill out, but her frame won't get any bigger. We are working on helping her to gain weight. She is eating three meals per day. She clearly has a great metabolism!

   Kiwi is just one and a half years old. She is friendly, happy, playful, loyal, smart, gentle, cooperative and independent. She can easily be placed as an only dog or with a compatible companion dog.  Kiwi looks like a mini Belgian Malinois, but she is so much smaller (very compact) than a Malinois. She is clearly a mixed with another breed, but she is beautiful!  

   Smart, smart, smart ... Kiwi is doing very well with her training exercises. She already knows sit and we are working on down, stay and leave it. She is a fast learner!  This girl loves to carry her toys around the house, like constantly. She loves them, it's really cute. One minute she has a ball in her mouth and the next minute she has a stuffed pirate!  Our happy little girl is also excellent on leash. She could be an apartment dog as long as a routine walk and exercise plan is available to her. She is not a high energy dog, but more of a moderate energy, and she knows how to entertain herself with a rubber toy stuffed with a treat, which is her FAVORITE thing in the whole world! She is quite intent about it and will complete the job and be ready for a refill!

   Kiwi is house trained and crate trained. You can crate her while you are at work, or when you can't supervise her well. Just toss a couple of treats inside her crate and give her something to chew on and she is good to go for a few hours, easily. She is also great in foster mom's yard and she loves to explore the yard, chase a ball and play with another dog once she knows him/her.

   Kiwi sheds very little. Her coat is soft and short-medium length.  She is in a foster home with 3 other large breed bossy dogs and she is managing that environment well. There is also a small breed dog and a human baby in the home, and she is perfectly fine with them too!  This girl is a true winner - very easy and well mannered dog.  CHECK HER OUT TODAY!  Kiwi was born about May 2022.

Turk

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: You must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,  have a solid vet reference and a secure fenced in yard.
We plan to place Turk in an adult-only home and he will do best as an only dog, or live with another mellow, small breed dog.

Meet Turk ... our compact and goofy, tiny male Chihuahua of 3 yrs old and 6 lbs with a tri-color coat (black, white and brown). Turk's elderly owner died and the family didn't have any options for him, so they reached out to us. We were happy to help find Turk a new, forever home. 

     We would like to place Turk in an adult-only home and either as an only dog or in a home where there is another mellow, small breed dog. Turk spent the first 3 years of his life as an only dog, and he is fine with not having any doggie brothers or sisters. He enjoys all of the attention! This guy is a hoot - fun, affectionate, loving and loves to play! He loves to snuggle in a blanket, or lay at the top of the couch on the edge of the cushions, like a cat! He really likes his toys; playing tug of war is his favorite, but he will chase a small ball too and bring it back most of the time. His favorite night time hobby is snuggling with his humans on the couch at TV time. He is a master snuggler. 

     Turk is house trained and crate trained, which is a huge bonus. He is a great little eater too.  He entertains himself well, so placing him as an only dog would be best, or with a very laid back small breed dog who will seek little interaction with him. He is not comfortable with medium-large breed dogs in the home. He is currently living with a cat at his foster home, and is curious at times with her, but the cat ignores him most of the time. 

     Turk's energy level is low to moderate. He is a pretty chill guy who requires little exercise. When he gets the zoomies, it's pretty funny. He can be a fast little guy when he wants to be, zooming around the furniture, expending his extra energy!  All dogs have their quirks and funny things they do ... Turk is no exception. He loves to chase his tail, wiggle around in a circle and try to bite his feet while growling at his tail and feet the whole time. It's hysterical. He certainly knows how to entertain himself! We will try to load a video of this on facebook soon, so look for it.  He also likes to snuggle up and hide himself under a blanket. It's so cute and common to the breed. He will definitely need a winter coat this coming winter! 

     We prefer to place Turk in an adult-only home due to his size and lack of experience with children of any age.  An exception may be made for older children and their dog-experience level. He is better with women than men, initially, but he is learning that men can be sweet and gentle too.  All in all, this little guy is just a darling little ball of love, ready for his new forever place to call home.

Turk was born about September 2020.

Phoebe

LAP CAT ALERT!  

Meet our beautiful lap cat Phoebe. Phoebe is a healthy and happy 4 yr old girl of 8 lbs. Phoebe has very pretty markings. As a short domestic hair feline, she is mostly white with some brown and black patches throughout her body with a tiger striped tail. The dark eyeliner around her eyes makes her even prettier! She also has a heart shaped spot on her side. This must mean she is filled with love! 

      Phoebe used to live on the streets, but is now a very happy indoor girl. She is friendly, sweet, playful, curious, independent, confident and has never met a stranger! She loves people and is not shy with new people in the foster home at all.  Phoebe loves to chill out and is easy to maintain. In fact, one of her favorite things to do is snuggle up to you and cuddle for hours. She is definitely a lap cat, make no mistake about it!  She can also be playful when you engage with her, so get a wand and some soft toys ready for play time ... maybe even a laser light! She loves toys with bells on them too.  Phoebe has won everyone over who has met her at her foster home, even non-cat people! She likes to wave with her paw, or give you a high five, so cute!

     This girl is food/treat motivated, so it is easy to get her attention, and maybe even train her to do some fun cat tricks. She has been around older children without issues, so kids ages 8 and up are fine for her.  Phoebe has been around other cats and seems to do well with them when introduced slowly and appropriately. She also is unphased with dogs, again, when a proper introduction takes place.  She is completely litter box trained and healthy. Her vet care includes all vaccines, fecal exam, microchip, spay and wellness exam. She is on a topical prevention for fleas/ticks.  Phoebe will make a wonderful companion, or even a first time pet.    She was born about January 2019.

Florence

Meet our adorable Florence, or "Flo", as we call her. Flo is a female, Medium Length Domestic feline of 4 and a half months old and 4 lbs as of 11/22/23. Florence has beautiful green eyes and a darling personality.  We rescued her, her mother and two siblings back in September and she has really come a long way since then. At first, she was a "mommy's girl", and never left mom's side, but now, she is an adolescent kitty who is ready to take on the world! 

     Flo is not only a cat but part bunny! She will do a "bunny hop" up into your hand when you go to pet her. She can't get enough pets and ear scratches. Her unique markings are just as unique as her personality. Flo loves to chirp and talk to her people. A truly great conversationalist. She will be you best friend if you have crunchy treats and a cat wand.  Flo will do great when placed with another existing cat-friendly cat in the home. She would love to have a buddy! She has been living with a cat savvy dog in her foster home, so this type of doggie companion should be fine for her too!  This little girl is completely litter box trained and is very healthy. She has had the works done at our vet and is ready for her new forever home.   She was born about July 10, 2023.

Halo

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 45 minutes of the Tulsa area
due to the home visit requirement.  Applicants must have prior feline experience and a solid vet reference. 

 

Meet our Christmas Ginger baby named Halo, after the small oranges we love at Christmas time! This adorable ginger male is 10 months old and just a little over 7.5 lbs. He is a purring machine, like the instant you pick him up! What a lover.  His markings are cool too ... you can see some bullseye shapes on his sides!  This sweet boy showed up in a rural area and came to someone's back door. Thankfully, they took good care of him and reached out to us for help. He is an easy one, so we were more than ready to help him find his new home. 

     Halo is healthy and fully vetted. He has been neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLuk and has had all of his vaccines. He is also microchipped and had a fecal exam with a deworming. He is current on flea/tick prevention.  Happy, friendly and snuggly, this guy will worm his way into your heart. He is a lover. The finders had two little dogs and he was fine with them. Pinky Tuscadero

Meet Pinky Tuscadero, our little female Snowshoe mix of almost 5 months old who weighs 5.8 lbs as of 12/26/23. We named her after a character in the TV show Happy Days because of her little pink nose and sassy, spunky, spirited personality! We call her Pinky for short ... oh that cute little face!  She has very unique markings ... we are calling her a Snowshoe mix. A Snowshoe cat is a purebred Siamese bred with a pure white cat. So, you can see why we think she is a Snowshoe mix. She is beautiful and that little pink nose of hers ... it's perfect. 

     Pinky is sweet and cuddly but she is also a ball of fire. She plays with all the toys; wands, balls, and stuffed toys. She loves to hide in boxes and in foster mom's laundry basket and had a blast this week with catnip sprinkled on toys.   She is a master biscuit maker, and has a loud purr too! She is a great eater and uses her litter box faithfully.

      Pinky would likely do fine if placed in a home with a cat savy dog, as long as the "introduction" is done slowly and appropriately. We are happy to explain how to introduce a new cat to existing pets in your home. She would also be fine with kids, she isn't shy and seems to enjoy the activity children/kids bring to a home.  Pinky is very playful and active. She will do best with another playful cat, perhaps a male cat who is equally playful. She is learning how to tone down her "play" moments with her senior foster siblings but does occasionally get a "time out" in the bathroom to chill. Silly girl ... she doesn't know the old ones don't want to play like she does. This little girl is completely vetted and is very healthy. She has had the works done at our vet and is ready for her new forever home.  She was born about 1 August 2023.

Nyx

Meet our BIG BOY names Nyx (pronounced nicks) ... he is a hunk of love weighing in at 12 lbs. Nyx is about 2 years old. Nyx has large, amber colored eyes. They are spectacular! They remind us of a jewel called Topaz. Maybe he is related to royalty! He also has an adorable little beauty mark next to his nose!

      Nyx is a super social boy with a ton of personality. He wants to be where his people are and, if possible, in contact with them. He also loves to be near the cat in his foster home - he follows her around and loves to lie near her. He adores being petted and immediately rolls over and starts purring when you reach towards him. He's got a loud, powerful purr, too! It's adorable!

      Nyx is pretty chill when he wants to be, but he's also a curious, playful boy. He loves to explore the house, watch out the window, or just hang out and watch his humans do whatever they are doing. He also loves to play - he will gallup and leap enthusiastically in pursuit of wand toys or laser dots.

      He would love to be in a home with a cat buddy who also likes to play - he loves to run and chase the cat at his foster home and bat around balls. The people who found him had two dogs, so he is accustomed to some barking. We believe a cat savvy dog(s) would be fine for his living situation as well!

      Nyx is completely litter box trained, has great indoor cat manners, and is healthy. We have had him on a diet to bring him down to 12 lbs, but that would be fine for his larger frame. He is eating Science Diet Light.  Nyx is healthy and full vetted, including microchipped!   He was born about September 2021.

Mr. Lucky

To be eligible to apply, you must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,have a solid dog/vet reference, and a secure fenced-in yard.  Applicants also must have prior small dog breed experience. Lucky can be placed with other dogs his size or under 50 lbs, but no small children under the age of 8 please. 

​

LAP DOG ALERT!!!  Meet our resident miniature werewolf ... Mr. Lucky! Doesn't he look like a little fuzzy werewolf? He is nothing like one though, in fact, just the opposite. Mr. Lucky, or "Lucky" as we call him, is as sweet as can be ... doesn't have a mean bone in his little 8 lbs body! He is just 7 yrs old and is a very good boy.  You will notice his front left leg has a birth deformity. You can see it turns out a bit, like he is standing in a ballerina position! Just know that it doesn't stop him from walks, play time or anything. He isn't in any pain and isn't on any medication for it, so please don't worry about this. We promise it's a non-issue and doesn't hurt or bother him. Our vet has examined him thoroughly. 

    Mr. Lucky is a lover and a lap dog! He is friendly, affectionate, gentle, fun, loving, easy going and an absolute doll! He likes everyone he meets and is good with dogs his size or a little larger.  He is a GREAT eater and is loves to snuggle on the couch with foster mom watching TV. He barks when he sees activity in the yard, or when someone comes to the door, but he is not a "yappy" dog. He may be suitable for apartment living  as he is also great on leash. He loves to go on walks and now that the weather is nicer, he is digging it big time!  Lucky is house trained and crate trained. He sleeps through the night in his crate and loves his bed time treat. He is currently on a fish-only diet to help with the allergies, so a few freeze dried salmon crumbles at bed time is his favorite!  This little curious guy loves to explore in foster's yard and will occasionally play with a stuffed, squeaky toy. He is pretty laid back. 

    Lucky will require an owner who is willing to manage his skin allergies. Currently, he is getting a Cytopoint Injection once every 6 weeks at the vet. This will cost his new owner approximately $50 per month. It is a non-steroidal remedy and is a game changer for him. He is also on a limited ingredient diet which is fish based (salmon) and gets a morning generic Zyrtec. He is bathed with a medicated shampoo about once a week.  This little scruffy guy is ready for someone to love him to the moon and back. He is so deserving of a loving home. Maybe it's with you!   Lucky was born about March 2016.

Cupcake

Meet Cupcake, a pretty little female Tabby of 1 yr old and 7 lbs. She is on the petite size. Those big green eyes are pretty enchanting, she is a precious little girl. Her foster family named her Cupcake because she's just the sweetest!  Cupake is gentle, affectionate, loving and easy going. She is the type of cat that likes to cuddle up with her humans, take naps, and make biscuits! 

     Cupcake was found by her foster family, hanging around an apartment complex.  Her foster family fed her for a couple of weeks until one evening, she followed them up to their second-floor apartment and meowed outside their door until they let her in.  Her foster family has two male cats and she has adjusted to them well with a slow and deliberate introduction in the home. She has not been dog tested yet, but should be fine with another slow and deliberate introduction to any dog. 

     Cupcake doesn't seem into toys much but loves to climb, cuddle, and look out the window.  She's calm and low maintenance!  She is good with older kids and sleeps with her foster family's 14-year-old daughter.  She says Cupcake likes to sleep on her shoulder and make biscuits at night.  Cupcake is completely litter box trained and is a great eater. She has been fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, FIV/FeLuk negative and microchipped.  She was born about October 2022.

Meet our new little kitten named Bernie! Bernie is a male, Medium Length Domestic feline of 4 months old and 4 lbs as of 10/27/23. He is simply darling.

     Bernie is a typical kitten in that he loves to play, act curious and snuggle. Wands are his absolute favorite toy along with a ball tower or round, flat/ball toy. He is so intrigued by the wand and gets better and better at each play session catching it as it wiggles around his body when his play person is keeping him busy! He also has fun in the tunnel!  Bernie should do great if placed with another cat or cats in his new home, or a cat savvy dog. He can also be placed as an only pet.  Bernie was abandoned with his other family members when their owner moved from a rent house and just left them all to fend for themselves – so cruel. Sally

Meet our happy and vibrant Sally! This little girl is just 9 years young and 16 lbs. She is a Yorkshire Terrier. Sally has a very sweet temperament and is simply darling! Her ears are the best! 

     First of all, Sally is on a diet and she has already lost 3 lbs. Her prior owners overfed her but now she is on a healthy meal plan and is losing her few pounds slowly. Our goal is to get her to 13 lbs, so we are half way there! 

     Sally is active, friendly and fun. She is pretty busy for a 9 yr old dog so don't let her age fool you. She loves to play ball and go on walks. In fact, she would go on a walk twice a day if you would bring her! She also loves belly rubs and will smile with delight as you rub on her tummy.  She is house trained and doesn't need to be crated as she has very good indoor doggie manners.

     Sally LOVES her peeps and will lay at your feet when you work or are on the computer, or snuggle on the couch with you at TV time. If you want to give her attention, she will adore you.  Her foster mom has four other small to medium sized dogs at the house, and she is fine with all of them. We will cat test her soon.  Sally is a great girl ... her only interesting habit is that she is an early riser. Her prior family woke up very early in the morning, so she does like to get up at 5am. Of course, that's way too early for most of us, but if you give her a chance at a new routine, we bet she will learn it well!  Help us get Sally into her new home soon. Desi Arnaz

Look at this gorgeous cat! Meet our handsome Desi Arnaz. This absolutely beautiful, LONG HAIR male Siamese Blue Point is approximately 7 years old and weighs just 11 lbs. He is stunning. His blue eyes are absolutely perfect. He is so dashing, we just had to name him after a movie star!  Desi is a little shy at first, but once he feels safe and secure in his new environment, he is mellow, friendly and enjoys lots of pets. He has been great with foster's adolescent foster kitten and 12 yr old granddaughter. He also ignores their 50 lbs terrier mix who is an inside dog.  He hasn't started to play with any toys yet, so no action to report in the play arena. He is just a calm, loving and easy going boy who is ready to be loved and cherished. He does like to drink from the faucet though, go figure. This boy would love a water fountain at his new home!  His coat is gorgeous, and we are working on brushing ... he is getting better each day and is starting to enjoy it a little, even though he won't admit it.  Desi is a great eater and uses his litter box perfectly fine. Desi is healthy and fully vetted, including microchipped!  He was born about October 2016.

Lizzie

Eligible applicants live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a solid a vet reference and a secure fenced in yard. 

Meet Lizzie, our super sweet AND precious female Jack Russell mix of 2 yrs old and 13 lbs.  Lizzie is affectionate, loving and very friendly after just a few minutes of getting to know her. She was timid at first, but she is gaining confidence every day in her foster home. She has a very sweet temperament and is calm and easy going. She sure does a lot of tail wagging, so we are pretty sure she is happy in her new foster environment! 

     Lizzie does better with smaller dogs more her size than larger dogs. The bigger dogs scare her, so we would like to either place her with smaller breed dogs, or as an only dog. She and her foster brother snuggle together and play a lot now that they are used to one another. It took them about two weeks to bond.  She is playing with toys now and likes stuffed toys, hard nyla bones, hooves and antlers. We will try a Kong today! She is very food motivated, so easy to train and keep her entertained with a yummy treat in her kennel. 

     Poor little Lizzie was abandoned and was running the streets for weeks. She was often in the middle of the road, stopping traffic, running frantically with near misses of being hit by cars daily. She was infested with fleas, scratching like crazy and very hungry. Once we finally caught her, she willingly walked on a leash and let us pick her up readily. It seemed she realized she was finally safe and ready for a warm bath, comfy bed and routine meals!  We haven't cat tested her yet, but she is fine with other dogs when introduced slowly and appropriately, giving them space to get to know each other as opposed to just forcing them to know each other immediately.  So far, Lizzie seems to be house trained and is doing great with her crate training. We will work on leash training this week.  Lizzie is very healthy and flea free now! She is heartworm negative and on prevention for heartworms and fleas/ticks. She has had all of her vaccines, fecal exam, has been spayed and microchipped! Lizzie is a very nice little girl, ask about her today!  She was born about Oct 25 2021

Lola

READ ABOUT HER - SHE IS A FANTASTIC DOGGO!!!

Lola looks like a Giant Schnauzer mix. She is 4 years old and 65 lbs as of 9/12/23.  She is very loyal, loving and smart.  Her coat is soft in most places and wirey near her back legs. Her ears are like velvet. She does shed some, but not very much; probably a 4 on a scale 1-10 with 10 being the highest shedding.   She bonds quickly with her people and has a darling personality! She is very friendly and shows affection by leaning her whole body weight against your legs and rubbing back and forth. She sometimes makes funny, growly noises while resting. You'll feel the bond growing between you as she gazes attentively at you with her big, round, soulful eyes. She will literally talk to you.  

     Lola has been on a diet and has lost 11 lbs. Her prior owner over-fed her and she was just too heavy. She has done amazing with her diet. She is a lean girl now, and struts her new body around the pool like a goddess (and she knows she is a babe).   She loves walks when she can sniff all of the great things on this earth and enjoy the sunshine! She will bury her face into a bed of pine needles on her daily walk, trying to smell all of the critters that have passed through her trail. Her morning walk is absolutely her favorite thing, next to squirrel hunting in the back yard. She also enjoys treat games and food puzzles.

     Lola is a very smart dog.   She is the perfect age—past the adolescent mischief stage, but still playful and eager to learn. We have not seen her around children so we're not sure how she does with them, but with her habit of leaning on people, she could knock over a small human.   Favorite pastimes are rolling in leaves, gnawing on chew toys, walks, learning new training games, investigating tortoises, squirrel watching, and chilling out with her humans. She also loves to carry her favorite stuffed animal around in her mouth. The current victim is a stuffed raccoon, her "baby",  but she loves it and always knows where it is. Foster mom can take the "baby" away from her any time without issue.   

       Lola gets along with the other dogs and a cat in her foster home. However, she does not like to share her toys with other dogs. Because of this, we are looking to place her without other dogs simply to make the adoption process easier with guaranteed success. (She shares with humans just fine!) In her foster home, there is supervision regarding toys and other items.   Lola has great house manners: she is house trained and crate trained. She likes to rest on the couch but will get down when asked. She is a bit of a bed hog, but she will also sleep in her kennel nicely and the door can be closed overnight. She’s been learning some new behaviors like sit, down, touch her nose to your hand, and rest quietly on a mat. She is attentive and eager to learn. In general, Lola is calm and just happy to be where her people are. She is also perfectly content to be left alone.  

      Lola is a great at letting you know when someone is near the yard or when something is "off" or new. She is a great protector of her yard with a big bark if this is something you are seeking with a new pet to the home.

   Her foster family loves her dearly and will miss her when she finds her new home. She sleeps in bed every night with her foster mom, but will also lay in her dog bed or crate overnight if need be.   Lola is a great dog, so share her today and help us find her forever.    She was born about December 2019.

Peggy Sue

LAP DOG ALERT!!!

Meet our incredibly sweet little girl named Peggy Sue. She is a female Chihuahua mix of 8 yrs old and 12 lbs. This darling dog is sweet, friendly, affectionate, calm, easy going and definitely wants to be a lap dog. She would just chill out all day on the couch with you watching TV, or while you read or knit      

     Peggy Sue is ready for trick or treating in her "Bride" costume! She is so fun! And, she is a tough subject to get a good picture of, so don't worry, she wasn't harmed or left in the bin for two seconds to take that picture you can see of her. Her little ears are in perfect "stand up" mode ... every time we take the camera out to take a picture of her, she jumps up towards our knees, then we can't get a good shot. Sometimes, you just have to do what you have to do to get the job done!

     Her owner passed away abruptly, so we took her into our program since no famiy members were able to take her. She has been a true delight and we were happy to help her.

     Peggy Sue is in a foster home with other dogs and is perfectly fine with them. She lived with two other smaller chihuahuas, so we know she is great with other doggos. We think she would be fine living with a cat, since she tends to go with the flow. Of course, a slow introduction to any new pets will help create a smooth transition for all of the animals in the house. Peggy Sue would do fine if placed as an only pet, since she would get lots of attention!

     She is house trained and doesn't need to be crated. At first, she used potty pads at her foster home, but now she is pottying outside like a champ! It was a little learning curve, but she has done so well! Foster mom still leaves a potty pad inside the house for her just in case she misses one of her potty requests to go outside.

     Peggy Sue  tends to eat less at breakfast time, but usually eats all of her dinner. We think her prior owner fed her once a day, but she is getting the hang of it.

     She is learning about leash training and has started to play a little bit with some small, soft toys and her little foster brother Mr. Lucky. She loves to explore in the yard and of course, loves her foster mom and TV time on the couch! She sleeps quietly at night on a dog bed on the floor in foster mom's room next to two other foster siblings.

      Peggy Sue sheds like any chihuahua, and is great for baths and brushing. She is completely vetted, very healthy, microchipped and even had a recent dental cleaning to shine up her pearly whites!

     If you are looking for a calm, easy dog to enjoy for many years to come, Peggy Sue may be your girl. Please call us today about her! She was born about October 2015.

Gertrude

Meet Banzai! He literally reminds of us a one of the hyenas from the Lion King, which is how we named him! And, he is just as funny! Bonsai takes just an instant to get to know you, then he's ready to do anything by your side. He is young, playful, affectionate, and happy! He gets along with other dogs and cats.

He is approximately 2 years old and 18 lbs. and has SHORT legs! He has a beautiful blue Merle coat, tan face and legs, and white-tipped toes. One ear is up, and the other can't decide if it wants to be up or down. He is super adorable with a personality to match.

Banzai is easy going and has a moderate energy level. He loves walks and does not pull on the leash even without any training. When he gets a few steps ahead of you, he stops and waits for you to catch up - such a gentleman!

He is house trained and crate trained and will choose to go in his crate on his own when he wants to relax. He has been a very polite and enjoyable guest in his foster home. He seems to know to SIT with a hand signal, and he is learning a hand target (tapping his nose to your hand). He is a quick and attentive learner.

Banzai is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped! Banzai was born about August 2021.

Sage

ADOPTON REQUIREMENTS:  You must live within 30 mins of Tulsa, have a secure, fenced in yard and a solid vet reference. Applicants must be committed to adopting a puppy who will need more basic training and patience, BUT will have a lot of fun in the process! Any young puppy needs this focus from its owners.

 

Meet Sage, our adorable black puppy of just 4 months old and 20 lbs as of 8/1/23. She is social, fun, playful, funny, animated and energetic - she is a puppy!  Her ears are hysterical, floppy and versatile ... sometimes they stick straight out and some times they flop over. It must be a mood thing, LOL.

    We think Sage is a black lab mix but her mix likely consists of a smaller breed dog since she is on the petite side. We expect her to be between 40 - 50 lbs once fully grown.  She was found as a stray in poor condition, but a very nice lady took her in to help her. Sage is working on her house training and crate training, and doing well in both departments.  This girl should do fine living with another dog(s) and is young enough to learn how to live with a cat when introduced properly. She can be placed with children in the home who are dog savy and respectful of animals. Sage loves to play with her humans and all kinds of toys. You can see her overly happy expressions in most of her pictures. Her photo shoot wasn't easy, she was so playful and happy during the process! She listened pretty well though and cooperated enough to capture some great facial expressions!

    She is really excelling with her leash training! Sage seems to be quite the quick learner and really wants to please her people. Positive reward based training is working, and she will be a well-rounded pup in no time. Sage was recently spayed and is up to date on all of her vaccines. She is also microchipped. Sage was born about April 2023.

SEPTEMBER 8

Duke

To be eligible to apply, you must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,have a solid vet reference, and a secure privacy fenced-in yard,
- no chain link fences for Duke, please, privacy only.

Duke is a big boy, and such a handsome boy!   He is about 1 and a half years old and 95 lbs. He is gorgeous and is ready to find his new family. His foster family describes Duke as a "teddy bear", because he doesn't have a mean bone in his body. Look at his smile, such a fun face!  Duke is good with other dogs. He likes to play with them, or just hang out in the yard with them too. He has not been cat tested yet. 

    Duke is friendly, affectionate, playful, learns quickly and rides well in the car. Duke is eager to please, which is a great attribute! He is a snuggle bug and loves belly rubs.  He should do fine with kids too, as long as his size can be managed!  Duke will sit to wait to eat his food. He would be a great candidate for dog training, so the lucky person(s) who adopt him will receive a training package at K9 Manners and More in Broken Arrow to continue his obedience training for a well rounded future with this boy!  He has mostly been outside at his foster home, so we aren't 100% sure if he is house trained yet, but we are confident he could learn quickly. When he has stayed at foster's friends house for an out of town trip, he was very good inside and didn't have any accidents.

Meet our bombshell beauty, Sister Golden. This gorgeous Tortoiseshell kitten is stunning. The markings on her face alone scream "unique". This striking baby girl  is 5 months old and 4.5 lbs. as of 8/14/23. The marbling on her face is super cool, she definitely has a look you won't forget!

Sister Golden is outgoing, a little like her sister  Fancy ... she will follow her sister into adventure mode finding places to investigate, climb on and sneak under. She is also fine being handled and foster mom thinks she may be more of a lap cat as she ages.

Sister Golden likes to play with toys, explore her cat room with her siblings and nap when she is tuckered out.

She should do fine living with another cat and/or dog, if the introduction is done on a slow basis. We can help you with how to do this!

She will do fine with older kids who are more mature as opposed to younger kids. She is easy to handle and is totally litter box trained.

Sister Golden is a typical kitten; she is active, fun, playful, climbing everything in site and enjoying new toys every day. She is a great eater since the kittens are on solid eating routine of wet food two times a day and always having dry available to snack on.

Kittens need time and patience to slowly acclimate to a new environment. She should do fine being slowly introduced to existing pets in the home such as another cat or a dog. Kittens of this age are also fragile due to their size.

Little Bear

Little Bear is a darling male black lab mix. As of 8/16/23, he is 9 weeks old and 11 lbs., just a little guy. He must be mixed with a smaller breed dog as he is on the smaller size for his age. He has a white star on his chest below his neck - he is just precious. He is smart, friendly, playful and full of life!

Little Bear is active, playful and great with other dogs and people. He would do fine in a home with other dogs. He sure does bait them to play and have fun with his wiggly little clumsy body! We think he would do fine living with cats too since he is so young and has plenty of time to acclimate to them.

This pup would also be great with older kids, as long as supervision and positive training techniques are used.

Little Bear is sleeping well in his crate over night and pottying outside most of the time. He is a fast learner! He is already working on his leash training in the yard and absolutely loves his toys! Tough chew toys are great for him right now due to his age. Nyla bones and other durable play items are great for him!

Meet our new beautiful girl named Chloe! Chloe is a very pretty domestic short hair girl of 2 yrs old and 9 lbs. Her head is a slightly shaped like an apple!
We aren't sure why she is still up for adoption, because she is a very sweet little girl with a lot of love to give to a new family.
Chloe is very friendly and very affectionate and loves to chirp with her humans while they are doing things around the house. She adores any affection you give her and even appreciates some belly rubs (which is unusual for most cats). She particularly loves her foster dad!
Chloe is a calm laid back girl who spends a lot of time in the window watching the world go by. She loves to sleep in a cat cave. Chloe loves to be brushed and will even roll over so you can brush her tummy.
When it comes to play time, she likes little stuffed mice and with string, but would rather just hang with her people and snuggle with them.
This sweet and easy-going girl would make a wonderful addition to your family.
She is very easy to handle, loves pets and will actually tolerate a belly rub!
We think she could live happily with another cat in the house with a slow and deliberate introduction. She does not, however, enjoy the company of dogs. Therefore, we would prefer to not place her in a home with dogs.
Chloe is completely litter trained and has excellent indoor cat manners. She uses a scratching post.
Chloe wandered up to a person's front porch, very pregnant and hungry. She took her in, allowed her to birth her beautiful babies and did a great, responsible job finding solid homes for the kittens. Now spayed and healthy, it's Chloe's turn to find forever.

Meet our adorable bonded pair Gatsby and Daisy. They are siblings of almost 7 years old. Gatsby is 10 lbs and Daisy is 8 lbs. Gatsby is a little darker in color while Daisy is a little lighter in color. They are beautiful! RnRAF did not declaw them, the owner did after adoption occurred ... but if you prefer a declawed cat, this pair may be the perfect new fur kids for you!

These two cuties were adopted as kittens from RnRAF but the owner's lifestyle has changed and they need our help in finding a new home for them both, together. They are very loving cats and are very attached to one another.

Ginger cats are known to be calm, loving and easy going. These two are no exception to that Ginger Cat Rule! They are amazing, and if you have ever owned a Ginger, you know exactly what we mean!

Gatsby and Daisy are calm, quiet and social. Gatsby is a bit of a goof ball who loves to walk across mom's keyboard while she is working and is great entertainment during Zoom calls.  Daisy has a sweet chirp and, once she gets to know you, loves to cuddle.

These two fur kids have great inside cat manners, are good with dogs and children! Each is completely litter box trained! Gatsby and Daisy were born around Aug 2016.

Meet our adorable boy named Coco. He is a 1 yr old domestic short hair guy of 10 lbs. He is very sweet, affectionate, friendly, playful and cuddly.

He has beautiful markings ... he looks like he was mixed with a ginger cat and a white cat. His ginger markings are nice and dark with little splotches of ginger on his face. And his eyes are the color of Topaz, just gorgeous.  Coco is trying to make friends slowly with the other cats in his foster home, and so far so good. He lived with another cat before coming to us so we feel confident he can either live with another cat or be an only cat in his new home.

He would likely do fine in a home with cat savy dogs when introduced slowly. Children over the age of 6 would likely be fine too as long as they are respectful of him. He loves a lap to snuggle next to ... but he is also curious and likes to explore his new foster digs. Coco loves to play with soft mice toys and wands. He was also curious about the other toys in his foster home.Coco is a great eater and uses his litter box like a champ.Coco is healthy, he is negative for FIV/FeLuk, has had a fecal exam and has been dewormed, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Sky

GINGER BOY ALERT!!! This is Sky, our handsome, gentle and loving Ginger boy of 2 years old and 11 lbs and gaining.  This amazing boy is a typical Ginger boy. They are known to be super affectionate, easy going, friendly and very loving. Sky is just like that! He is also quiet, gentle and loyal. 

     Sky is healthy, FIV/FeLuk negative, had a fecal exam, was dewormed, microchipped, neutered and vaccinated.  Sky was living outside and was so flea infested, he had scratched his ear raw and bloody. Of course, we treated his fleas and he is much happier now! He was in desperate need of being rescued, and thankfully, he was rescued! He is LOVING indoor life, and as you can see from his pictures, he is seldom upright. Trust us, nothing is wrong with him, he is just extremely happy to be indoors laying on a bed, on a human lap or just catching up on his rest. An outdoor life for a cat can be rough, and it's obvious Sky is relieved to be inside now, enjoying the good life.  He is a great eater and hasn't started playing with toys yet. He seems to be very focused on getting love from his foster dad and mom, napping and making biscuits on his bed. Sounds like a pretty good plan to me, geez, are some of us jealous as we read this??!!  Sky is totally litter box trained. We use clay clumping litter for him and we give him a thumbs up in this department!   Sky was born about June 2021.

ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS on Gravy now! LONG HAIR BEAUTY!!  

Who has some biscuits, cuz we have GRAVY!!!! Wow, look at this long hair beauty! Gravy, (what a fun name!) is a 2 yr old cream point, long hair male who is 12 and a half pounds. His green eyes are beautiful and compliment his perfect head and coat color! He has a long body and looks heavier than he is, but he is mostly hair! Such a gorgeous boy! 

    Gravy is an excellent cat ... he is extremely friendly and affectionate with people. He is gentle, loyal and will seek out his humans for interaction. When our intake coordinator met him, he came right to her. She reached out her arm and hand to let him sniff and he basically did a pole dance on her arm! It was hysterical!  He loves his little soft toys, enjoys a cat tree and and has a moderate energy level. He can be playful, but very chill, just hanging out on the back side of the couch and relaxing. He has also been known to snuggle with his peeps on the couch at TV time.  This guys has SO much personality! He loves people and enjoys interacting with them! 

     Gravy will do best as the only cat because he just gets too stimulated with other cats. We have tried several things and we have decided placing him as an only cat is best for him. He is ok with dogs with a slow and structured introduction. This type of introduction would be required to create success for integrating him into your home. He has not been around kids, so we don't know how he would do with young children but based on his personality with people, we think he would be find with kids ages 6 and older. This type of introduction would be required to create success for integrating him into your home. He has not been around kids, so we don't know how he would do with young children.  Gravy is litter box trained, no issues here. He is a good eater, but prefers only dry kibble. Pinky

Meet our petite and sweet little tabby girl named Pinky. Pinky is just one year old and on the smaller size, weighing in at 6 lbs. She will fill out a bit, but she won't get any bigger frame-wise. Her tiger striped markings are really cool, such a great blend of brown and black on this girl!  Pinky has quite the personality! She loves to play with her toys, especially when you engage with her. Once she knows you, and the newness of a "new person" wears off, she will come running to you for a Churu treat, or any treat for that matter! She loves affection and enjoys pets. In fact, when you start to love on her, her booty goes up in the air and she asks for more. She just has a very sweet heart and soul.  This little darling was rescued from an overcrowed cat situaiton at an individual's home. Now, she is enjoying the attention she can receive and is loving it. We see her blossom more and more every day as she begins her new life on her rescue journey!  We know she gets along with other cats, but new cats should be introduced slowly and deliberately to ensure a long term, harmonious relationship.  She would likely do well living with a cat savy dog, again, when a slow introduction is created for the animals to get used to one another.  Pinky is healthy and litter box trained. She has a great appetite! We would love to see her find a new home soon so she can enjoy her life, like every animal should. Please consider her today!  Pinky was born about August 2022.

Meet our little Miss Molly ... a Brussells Griffon mix of 5 years old and 13 lbs. Her coat is very soft and she doesn't shed very much at all. Once she knows you and trusts you, she has a very sweet temperament and is quite snuggly.

 

Molly has bonded very quickly with her foster mom and likes to follow her all over the house like her little shadow. She gets very animated at times and starts to frolic around the room like a little monkey, jumping around and talking to foster mom in a chirpy little voice. It's really cute.

 

She is house trained and will crate in a crate or be confined in a puppy pen without issue.

Stitch

You must live within 30 mins of Tulsa, have a secure, privacy fenced in yard and a solid vet reference. Stitch MUST be placed with an existing dog in the applicant's home and no children under the age of 16.

Meet Stitch, our handsome and goofy male Labradoodle of almost 3 years old and 56 lbs.  Stitch is a non-shedding dog. He is still gaining weight and loves to eat! He is very food motivated, so he is easy to train with positive reinforcement methods, by using his kibble as treats!

    Stitch is house trained and crate trained. He goes right into his crate and is quiet over night when he is near another dog. In fact, his crate is his "safe place", so he must have a crate in his new home for his den. He is like clock work when it comes to using his crate, it's amazing.

     Some of his favorite things are playing with other dogs, and playing with other dogs, oh, and playing with other dogs! Yep, he LOVES to play with other dogs. His foster brother, Zeus is a favorite playmate! He can also play with dogs a little smaller, like between 20 - 40 lbs. When he plays and gets excited, he curls his upper lip up and pounces back and forth towards you. It's hysterical. It's like he is auditioning for an Elvis act! He has not learned how to wiggle his front leg through at the same time! LOL!! He gets very animated and is clearly having a great time!

He has seemed to ignore the cats at our vet's office, so he would likely be fine if there is a cat or two in the home too.

      Once very comfortable in a new environment, he will occasionally pick up a Nyla bone and chew on it for a bit, but he hasn't shown too much interest in toys in general.  Stitch is not high energy, and he will chill out in the sun, or in the shade outside with his doggie playmate, or inside the house on a dog bed or cool tile floor. He has a "moderate" energy level.

     Stitch's biggest challenge is his shy and timid temperament. He identifies with other dogs before people, which is why we will only place him in a home with another dog who will be his companion. In time, he will learn to trust and love his people, but he will require a patient owner and one with dog experience.

Stitch has been in a home with younger kids, but we would prefer to only place him in either an adult-only home, or in a home where the kids are older, 16 yrs and above.

     Routine, professional grooming is a must. No home grooming for Stitch. He is great at the groomer but will need to go routinely as his hair is that doodle hair and will mat easily if not brushed often.

Stitch is healthy. He has been completely "vetted" and is on a heart-worm and flea tick prevention every month.  Stitch was born about June 2020.

Oliver

Meet our SMART, sweet and happy boy Oliver! He has so much personality and is a really good puppy!

Oliver was born on or about 3/1/23, so he is almost 5 months old as of 7/21/23.  He is now 34 lbs. We expect him to be about 50 lbs. once fully grown.

Oliver is happy, friendly, playful, fun, animated, loyal and affectionate. He is already house trained and crate trained - such a smart boy! He loves to learn and is very treat motivated, so he is an easy training subject!

He loves to play fetch, learn new tricks and hikes. He will play fetch with you until the cows come home! Oliver is good with kids and other dogs but has not been cat tested yet. He loves toys like a stuffed Kong, balls and rope toys. He is a good chewer, so antlers and nyla bones are great too!

Oliver is a puppy with a moderate energy level, like most puppies! To create success for a new owner, he needs consistency, more training and patience but is already off to an amazing start.

This boy was being given away for free in a Walmart parking lot as a younger puppy, so a nice family took him to safety, knowing they couldn't keep him forever, but wanted to get him to safey. We are so grateful to them!

Now it's time for Oliver to find his forever home, so we are helping out with the process and are happy to help place him.

He has been vetted, is current on his vaccines, prevention and has been dewormed, microchipped and neutered.

LAP DOG ALERT!  Meet our darling male Shih Tzu named VINNY! He is such a cutie! He is almost 5 years old and weighs 17 lbs. Vinny is friendly, affectionate, low key, loyal, gentle, funny and mildly playful. This handsome boy is hard to resist. His squatty little body and underbite make him quite endearing! 

     The Shih Tzu is a non-shedding and generally a hypo-allergenic breed. Vinny came to us with a matted coat, so we shaved him down to let his skin heal and breath. His coat will grow in beautifully, but a summer shave was in order anyway!  Vinny is a bit of a couch potato and lap dog. His favorite thing to do is find his spot on the chair in the living room, and pass out for a big nap! You will often find him watching his favorite game shows like Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune! Just a chill dude. 

   Vinny does play some and explore in the yard, but he is a pretty laid back guy. When he does play with a toy, it's a soft squeaky toy or a toy that makes a "crinkle" sound.  He is house trained and really doesn't need to be crated because his indoor dog manners are very good, and he is older and out of the puppy phase for sure. His foster mom does crate him though at night and when she isn't home.   Vinny is fine with other dogs and kids. In fact, he lived with a few small children before coming to us. He has not been cat tested yet, so that's on our list of things to do!  He enjoys walks in his neighborhood and is actually quite decent on leash. 

     Routine, professional grooming is required for Vinny.  Vinny has a condition called "dry eye" in his left eye. He requires daily eye meds and will need them for the rest of his life. He is great about the drops being administered daily. The drops are ordered from a compounding pharmacy and shipped to your house. They cost about $35.00 per month, but it must be used daily.  He has been fully vetted and is getting ready for his new home. Vinny was born about December 2018.

Nugget

LAP DOG ALERT!!! 

Meet the amazing Nugget, a darling, petite male Schnauzer/Yorkie mix of a little over 2 yrs old and only 11 lbs. This guy is TINY! He looks bigger in his pics, but trust us, he is only 11 lbs. Super lap dog and he WILL dominate your lap!

     At first, Nugget will think you are an evil human out to get him, but, give him a high dollar treat and some time and this boy will be connected to you at the hip in no time. Seriously, it will take him a few minutes to trust you. We are confident he has been mishandled before, so this is his "go to" attitude when new people approach him. We are working diligently on this behavior and have already seen some great results! Have no fear, RnR is here!

     ugget IS house trained and crate trained - 2 big bonus features about him! He can be playful, but snuggly and chill, so he has a wonderful blend of both speeds. He is doing great with his leash training, and he loves to ride in the car with his doggie seatbelt on for safety purposes.  He is getting more playful each day and is an animated guy, like most schnauzers. Look out, this guy will be the town clown in no time, showing off and seeking attention and affection!

     Nugget is in a foster home with several other small breed dogs. At first, he was apprehensive and fearful, so he was vocal about everything that moved. But once his foster mom put her "dog introducing" techniques in full swing, she had him pretty well acclimated in 4 just  days! It takes patience, time and proper techniques taught by our certified dog trainer (who is on our team, and accessible to you during the transition), and "ta da", you usually have a harmonious pack in no time.

Make no mistake, Nugget would also thrive as an only pet, eating up all of the attention and love, so don't worry, he does not need a playmate to live a fulll, happy life!

     He chased the kitten a time or two at the finder's home, but now in his foster home, he seems to be doing well with ignoring the two adult cats. Again, it takes some technique to acclimate a new animal to other animals in the house, and we are really good at this and are ready to help our adopters when needed!

Nugget's appetite is improving. He is a skinny, lanky little boy. He is catching on to a two-time a day eating plan and not having the country buffet available to him all day long, called "free feeding". We don't prefer the free feeding method as it is easier to house train a dog on a scheduled eating plan and for other reasons.

All in all, this guy is doing great considering he was dumped in a wooded area. When found, he was covered in ticks and was afraid of everyone. It had to be a very scary experience for him. We are so sorry he endured it. People are so cruel, but he is resilient and is learning to trust all of his new friends, four legged and two legged! He has been fully vetted and is getting ready for his new home. Nugget was born about May 2021.

Nugget has not been kid tested, but we would prefer to only place him in a home where kids are 12 and older.

Boone Pickens

It was only appropriate to name this little orange gingerboy Boone Pickens! He is darling, weighing in at 2.7 lbs and he is 9 weeks old. He is a great eater and is gaining weight steadily.  Boone was found as a stray with goopy eyes and covered in fleas. He is healthy now and is ready to find his new forever home! Regardless of how puny he was feeling when we took him into our care, he was purring before we even picked him up and loved on him. He is a purr-crazed kitty.  He loves to be held and cradled in your arms, or wrapped in a small blanket to be loved on. He is very affectionate, sweet and gentle.  Boone is litter box trained and is just learning about how fun toys can be; he loves a toy wand and the ball tower is fun too!  He has been around dogs without issue and a slow introduction to a cat or cat(s) in the home should be fine. He is a well-versed little guy!

This is Pearl, one of the two females from a 3 kitten litter! She and her 2 siblings  were found in the bed of a truck; cold, hungry and thin! RnRAF was happy to help this little family, so keep reading about this fine young lady!

She is nearly a solid black, but has a little white under her neck and on one of her back paws.  Pearl is as spunky as can be! Pearl loves to cuddle up to her foster mom's cheek and give kisses and she will also perch on her shoulder like a bird - silly girl, you are a cat! Dixie

To be eligible to apply, you must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,

Dixie is a looker! She is a unique scruffy looking girl of 2 yrs old and 36 lbs. She really is the perfect size for a family looking for a smaller to medium sized dog! She can be placed as an only dog, or with a family with another dog(s) if they are a good match for her! That's what our home visits are all about; meeting and checking out their personalities to see if we have a match!

Dixie is incredibly smart (maybe a little too smart), happy, curious, independent at times and very loyal to her people. Once she knows you, she is your best friend, like one of those dogs you will never forget in your life.

Dixie is house trained and crate trained. She is also good with other dogs and kids. She will do best in a home without cats. We think she would do fine with kids ages 8 and older. She has a FANTASTIC temperament. She does shed, on a scale from 1 - 10, with 10 being the most shedding, she is about a 4 - 5 when brushed routinely.

Dixie loves to play outside and squirrel hunt! One day, she may catch one! Foster mom often sees her staring at the tree, so still like a statue, hoping the squirrel will come down the tree to be chased! She has a moderate energy level and will engage in play with you or another dog as you can see by her lovely play bow with one of her foster brothers. Some of these other pictures were taken of her while watching squirrels in the trees, a true terrier at heart!

This little girl has come a long way. When she first came to us, she was detached emotionally, timid and scared. Now, her gentle and fun personality shines through because she is loved and feels safe. She will act timid with new people, but gains confidence quickly with them with positive reinforcement techniques (which are easy to learn with our guidance).

Inside the home, she is calm and quiet, enjoys hard-chew toys and stuffed Kongs. She can usually defeat short baby gates to explore her surroundings inside the house, so crating her when you aren't home is likely best.

Dixie loves leash walks with a safe slip lead type leash. Her leash walking skills are improving daily!

She is learning to enjoy affection and boy, that love for human touch has come full circle! She clearly was neglected and didn't know much about how fun the life of a dog could be, so now it's time for us to find the perfect family for her. She sure has earned it!

Lady

EASY GOING, SWEET NATURED, AFFECTIONATE, FRIENDLY, GENTLE - This dog is amazing. She Emotional Support Animal (ESA) qualities! She would make a great apartment dog since she is quiet, super on leash and lower energy. 

     Meet our beautiful, tri-colored Smooth Coat Collie/Heeler named Lady. This gorgeous girl is 6 - 7 years old and 50 lbs. We love her Betty Davis eyes! Lady's owner passed away, so she is now in our care, seeking her new, loving and forever home. Upon intake, she was in horrible condition. Her skin was a mess and she seems defeated. She had been in a depressed situation for a long time, but we are thrilled to know her life has changed for the better and it keeps looking up!  It's really hard to capture a good picture of Lady. She always looks so sad, but she is a very happy girl at her foster home. She is animated, loves to please and is ready to share lots of love with her new family.

     Lady is friendly, affectionate, gentle and has a very sweet nature. She is very laid back.  Lady is doing great with her foster sister Bella, who is a larger Black Lab mix. She would also be fine as an only dog. She just can be bossy, so living with a more submissive, laid back "Beta" dog would work fine! She would also be fine as an only dog as she is a bit of an attention hog.  Lady is also fine with cats!  Lady is well behaved indoors; she is house trained and crate trained. She loves the companionship of her people and older kids.  Lady is VERY smart. She knows sit and wait. She could learn more too, training is fun! She has a very docile and easy going personality. As you can see, she loves to find the smallest bed in the house to nap on, so cute. 

     Lady has been around other dogs but will do best with a more laid back dog who is more submissive. She loves to hunt in the yard with her black lab foster sister and enjoys sunning herself too on these wonderful Spring days.  Lady's coat has grown back in beautifully! It's shiny and thicker now, those patches of missing hair are completely gone and she looks beautiful! Before coming to us, she was in rough shape. When her owner was ill, Lady didn't get as much care as she really needed the past couple of years, resulting in some hair loss due to fleas. Being flea free and managing her skin allergies has resulted in a  stunning, colorful and vibrant coat!  Lady is fantastic on leash and really enjoys leash walks. She would do well as an only dog, and an apartment dog. She is quiet inside and as mentioned above, crates very well.  She does have some seasonal allergies which we are managing, but overall, she is a really sweet girl who deserves the perfect home.  Lady was born about February 2017.

Popcorn

LAP DOG ALERT!!!  
Meet our adorable Popcorn girl - a sweet and happy Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese mix of 3 years old and 13 pounds. This girl is full of sweetness, much like Kettle Corn or Cracker Jack! She wants to please her peeps and is a very loving girl.  Popcorn will do best as the only pet in the home, or with another laid back dog.  Popcorn is gentle, affectionate, smart, loyal and cuddly. She is low shedding and did ok with her first bath, well except for when she tried to jump out of the tub 10 times! Once she relaxed and realized she was having a spa moment with the warm water and scrubbing, she did great.  Popcorn seems to be house trained. She has not had any accidents at her new foster home. She is learning about crate training and is doing well chilling out in her crate when foster mom runs errands.
She is very good on leash and loves to go exploring for walks, sniffing everything and watching for squirrels, rabbits and birds for sure!  Popcorn will do best as the only dog in the home, or with another dog who doesn't bug her too much. She would not do well with a dog who wants to play with her or be in her face a bunch.  Popcorn seemed a little too curious in the cats at the vet's office, so she may not be a candidate to live with another cat or cats. Popcorn was born about June 2020.

Half Pint

Meet Half Pint, our small female Corgi of 2 yrs old and 19 lbs. We think this girl may have been the runt of her litter due to her petite size. Her name comes from the Little House on the Prairie book series. One of the daughters was nick named Half Pint, and we felt this name suited her. The character was just like we described our Half Pint girl below.  

     Half Pint is friendly, listens well, is very smart and is good around people, kids and other dogs. She is active, happy, fun and has a very sweet temperament.  We have not cat tested her yet but she seemed to be a little too interested in the cats at our vet's office. Therefore, it may be best to place her in a non-cat home.  She has been in boarding for the past week since she was spayed and she has been a very good house guest. She is keeping her kennel dry and is a good eater. She minds the kennel staff very well and seems to be a well natured little girl.  Her owner died and the neighbor watched her for a few weeks, then we took her into our care. She is a healthy girl, fully vetted now! 

Half Pint was born about December 2021.

Accepting Applications for Finleynow!

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 30 minutes of the Tulsa area due to the home visit requirement and follow up visits at our vet in Midtown Tulsa.
You must have feline experience and a vet reference. No exceptions.

Finley will not be able to go to his adoptive home until he weighs at least 2 lbs and
had the first FVRCP vaccine at about 8 weeks of age, around June 2.

If approved, adopters will be required by their adoption contract to return to our vet for follow up vet appointments for booster vaccines, rabies vaccine and spay/neuter, etc. This is why you must live within 30 mins of Tulsa.

This is Finley, the only male baby from a 3 kitten litter! He and his 2 sisters were found in the bed of a truck; cold, hungry and thin! RnRAF was happy to help this little family, so keep reading about this fine young lad!  Finley was born on or about 4/7/23, so he is 8 weeks old and 2.1 lbs as of 6/1/23. His coloring is brown tabby, tiger striped.

     Finley is the leader of his pack! He is the most outgoing and the most curious one of the 3. He is extremely sweet and cuddly. He is also a climber, ready to tackle his next mountain inside his foster home!  Finely is a typical kitten - he is active, fun, playful, climbing everything in site and enjoying new toys every day. He particularly enjoys strings and fathers to chase an attack. He is litter box trained and is a great eater since the kittens are on solid eating routine of wet food two times a day and always having dry available to snack on.

     Kittens need time and patience to slowly acclimate to a new environment. He should do fine being slowly introduced to existing pets in the home such as another cat or a dog. Kittens of this age are also fragile due to their size.

Emmett

This boy dipped his face in a bucket of hot fudge! Meet Emmett, a darling male mix breed puppy of 15 weeks old and 25 lbs as of 6/11/23. He is just darling. We think he may be part Belgian Malinois or Black Mouth Cur due to his facial markings … His eyes just look right into your soul. He is happy, friendly, fun, playful and ready to start his new forever life with a new family to love him. His markings are beautiful, and again, that dark black face is just screaming for some ice cream to accompany that hot fudged-face!

     Emmett was found in a run down neighborhood, clearly not wanted or owned by a pet owner who never looked for him. He surely didn't deserve this, but we have him now and he is in good hands!  He is SMART! He has learned so many things in just a few short days ... he knows to sit, wait and he also sits and waits for his meal command and to enter or exit the house when his foster instructs him to do so.  He is doing great on potty training and crate training. It's amazing how quickly a puppy can catch on to new things when you spend time with it and provide positive reinforcement training.

     Emmett is a super cool dude.  He will do fine with other dogs in the home and likely cats too. Emmett is also young enough to do well with kids in a home. He is learning lots of positive things at an early age, which will make him a great family pet with good behaviors if the hands on training continues.  Give Emmett a chance, he will likely be a 50 - 60 lbs dog once fully grown. And, he will be gorgeous, likely including that hot fudged-face as he ages. It's pretty prominent, and so defining. Love it!   Emmett was born about Feb 18 202.
