Porsha, age 1

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS live within 30 mins of Tulsa, have a secure,
privacy fenced in yard and a solid vet reference.

Meet Porsha, a beautiful and energetic female German Shepherd of 1 year old and 70 lbs. She is a sweet and very active girl -- she's still so young!  Porsha is fully vetted, great with people and kids. She has not been cat tested yet. She does well with other dogs, but plays too roughly for the older dog in her current home. She does great with kids!   Porsha is friendly, playful and affectionate. She knows sit and no.   This beauty will need work on house training but she is very smart and should be able to get where she needs to be. Some of Porsha's favorite activities are playing with other dogs, playing with toys and snuggling with her humans. She loves balls, ropes, rawhides and stuffed toys.   Porsha rides well in a crate in the car too. She is crate trained to sleep in her crate overnight. She will make the perfect companion for an active family or just taking a walk on the river.  Please call us today about her. She is ready to meet her new family!    Porsha was born about June 2021.

Pumpkin, age 6

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS live within 45 mins of Tulsa, have no children under age 10, and a solid vet reference.

This is Pumpkin, our darling female Bichon Frise mix of 6 yrs old and 17 lbs. She is non-shedding and will require professional, routine grooming.  If you are looking for a constant companion who is snuggly, friendly and ready to be your lap dog buddy, this girl is definitely the doggo for you!  It seems that Pumpkin has been lapping/lounging around quite a bit because she is a little chunky monkey. She is on a diet though, and hope to shed a few pounds within the next few months. Our vet says she should be more like 13 - 14 lbs., which is very do-able.

Pumpkin's owner had a major stroke, so the family surrendered her to us. She is doing amazingly well in foster care and is learning the ropes.   You will notice some balding of hair at her tail/bottom. This is flea dermatitis. She is healing nicely and her hair will grow in just fine.  She is house trained and is learning about crate training.  Pumpkin hasn't started to play with any toys yet, her goal in life is to watch soap operas, eat bon bons and watch you do your crossword puzzles. She does love to watch what goes on outside the back slider door and she enjoys her sniffing time in the yard.  She tolerates other small dogs, in fact, she used to live with one, a yorkie. Pumpkin will do best with a calm, laid back dog who just wants to "hang" with her without a lot of interaction. She likes the "wallflower" types.  She ignored the cats at the vet's office, so a cat in her life may be fine if introduced slowly and appropriately.

We don't know if she has been around kids or not, so we would prefer to place her in a home either without kids, or only when kids are ages 10 and older.  She is decent on leash, as she lived in an apartment setting. And, she is a good eater ... hence the diet!  This sweet little girl is ready for her new person to fall in love with her and sweep her off her paws. Pumpkin was born about August 2016.

Uma, age 1

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS live within 30 mins of Tulsa, have a secure,
privacy fenced in yard and a solid vet reference.

Meet our very sweet, happy, fun and docile Uma. Uma is a darling female weighing about 42 lbs. We originally thought she was a German Shepherd mix, but she is small framed, so who knows! Maybe she has some heeler in her since she has a docked tail? Hmmmmm …. We do know she is 100% sweet.   This girl has not grown very much at all since coming into rescue. She has filled out a little bit, but has maintained a 42 lb weight for over a month now. We think she is done growing!   Uma is such a good girl! She was clearly abandoned in a field, and one of our great volunteers was able to get her to safety! She was in rough shape, but she is living the life now! The tips of her ears had fly strike on them, but all of that is grown back in now and looking great. Her coat is shiny and healthy.

Uma is a typical playful, active puppy. She is coming out of her shell more and more every day. She is good with other dogs and her cat test went well! She absolutely loves to play with her foster siblings which is a variety of doggos! She also attends doggie daycare routinely and truly enjoys it.   We would love to place her in a home with another dog to play and interact with, but not 100% necessary. She is doing amazing! She has mastered house training AND crate training with ease. She listens, learns quickly, and loves to cuddle, big time! Just be ready for her entire body to be ON you and blended in with you as one. She loves to snuggle.   Uma loves her chew toys; she loves nyla bones, antlers, KONG toys, you name it, she loves her toys!   Oh, and this girl LOVES to play fetch, so get your arm ready for some throwing action! Uma will bring the ball back and is ready for your next toss!    Her personality tends to be submissive, so her training is going well and she is VERY food motivated, which is a plus in the training dept! She is gaining weight steadily and is a healthy, happy girl!   Check her out today - she will give you a lifetime of love and loyalty! Uma was born about May 2021.

Zeus, age 4

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure fenced-in yard, AND A vet reference.

Meet the sweetest boy ever,  Zeus. This docile and loving boy was left to fend for himself in a neighborhood for two years. Other remaining family members fed him occasionally, and knew he was there needing a home, but didn't take him in. A dear friend of ours helped, gained trust, and today he is in a foster home doing amazing.   Zeus was an owned pet at one time, from the time he was a puppy until about 2 years old, then poof, they moved and left him.

Zeuse is an American Bulldog/Sharpei mix of 4 yrs old and 72 lbs. He is short and stocky, not overly large, so don't let that weight intimidate you.   This is one of those dogs you call resilient. Resilient to humans who don't care and who don't treat their pets like family members. He is forgiving, loving and simply an amazing dog.   Zeus is friendly and affectionate once he knows you. He is quicker to trust with women versus men, so that is an area we are working on ... he has acclimated to his foster home very quickly and nicely.   He is house trained, crate trained, LOVES to play with other dogs. He is fine with small, medium and large sized dogs, but due to his size, he will play safest with a dog 35 lbs and up!

Zeus is also fine with cats. He is a gentle boy. Actually, Zeus thinks he is about 20 lbs. He would love to cuddle with you on the couch and he leans on you for love. We keep telling him he is a tad larger than 20 lbs!   He has not been around young children, but dog savvy kids who are a little older would be fine with him.   For a doggo who has been ignored for a couple of years, he is doing incredibly well. In his foster home, he acts like he has been here for months, yet it's only been a few weeks.   Zeus is healthy and up to date on all vaccines, fecal exam, he is neutered and microchipped.   Now, he needs some applicants! So, check him out today, call about him and give him a chance. He will do best in a home with another dog, in home setting with a fenced in yard versus an apartment and if we can find a man-free home, that would be FANTASTIC.   Zeus was born about April 2018.

Moxie, age 5

To be eligible to apply, you must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure fenced-in yard, a solid vet reference.

Meet Moxie, a beautiful and dignified female Boxer mix of 5 years old and 66 lbs. She is a big girl, but a well behaved and gentle girl. If you are looking to have a well behaved only pet, Moxie is your girl!   Moxie is fully vetted, great with people and kids. She does well with most other dogs, but can be selective, so we are going to place her as an only dog. Moxie has lived with 3 other dogs in her home without a single issue.  She is great with kids, loves them, protects them and makes a great babysitter!  We have not cat tested her.   Moxie is extremely loyal, affectionate, friendly and frankly, is just perfect. She listens well. She knows sit and wait, off and no.   This beauty is house trained and can be left inside alone without having to crate her. She is temporarily in an apartment setting now and doing great. She is super on leash, and knows her potty commands well.   Moxie is great in the car too. She will make the perfect companion for running errands, or just taking a walk on the river.   She loves to play and snuggle ... she thinks she is a small breed dog, so she hogs the couch! Just a super big love bug waiting for a new place to call home.   Please call us today about her. She really needs a hero.  Moxie was born about November 2016.

Radar, age 10

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS live within 30 mins of Tulsa, have a secure,
fenced in yard and a solid vet reference.

"ALMOST" SENIOR ALERT!!!  Meet Radar, our male "almost" senior Chihuahua mix of 10 yrs old and 10 lbs. Prerequisite #1 ... must have squirrels in the yard for Radar to chase! This guy does NOT act 10, so get ready for some action!   Radar is very friendly, affectionate and extremely sweet. He bonds with his people quickly. He will do best with a family who has a rotating schedule or when one person is home more often than not. He just likes to be with his family, but will settle down when you aren't home. He will do best in a home setting, no apartment living for this guy.   We feel Radar would do best with children over the age of 12 in the home.

Radar is an active little guy when he is in the yard, looking, scoping, chasing and hunting squirrels at every chance. He doesn't bark constantly at them, he is just intent on them, watching them and making sure he can try to get them or supervising their squirrel activities!   Radar is quiet and calm inside the home, he mostly sleeps in his bed. It's interesting, because he acts like a 6 year old in the yard, but once he comes in, he chills out! He does keep a close eye on foster mom though. Enjoys her company and supervises her activities inside too!   He is great with his foster siblings, all small dogs. He has been around one large dog at a different foster home, without issue.

Radar is good on leash and loves to go on walks!    Radar is completely house broken but doesn't prefer to be crated. He has great indoor doggie manners, so crating really isn't necessary. Baby gating him in a small area until he is secure and compliant inside a new home is a recommended approach! Let him get into a routine and settle in.   He initially barked at foster mom's cat, but seems to be calmer now. He is always gated off from cat though, so we aren't sure how he would do living with a cat.   Radar is a good eater. He feels so much better after he has his dental cleaning when he had multiple teeth pulled. His mouth had to be hurting him with so many bad teeth inside his mouth! He is completely healthy, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to roll into another 6+ years of love and happiness.   Don't pass him by, he deserves love too!   Radar was born about July 2012.
