Moxie, age 6

To be eligible to apply, you must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure fenced-in yard, a solid vet reference.

Meet Moxie, a beautiful and dignified female Boxer mix of 5 years old and 66 lbs. She is a big girl, but a well behaved and gentle girl. If you are looking to have a well behaved only pet, Moxie is your girl!   Moxie is fully vetted, great with people and kids. She does well with most other dogs, but can be selective, so we are going to place her as an only dog. Moxie has lived with 3 other dogs in her home without a single issue.  She is great with kids, loves them, protects them and makes a great babysitter!  We have not cat tested her.   Moxie is extremely loyal, affectionate, friendly and frankly, is just perfect. She listens well. She knows sit and wait, off and no.   This beauty is house trained and can be left inside alone without having to crate her. She is temporarily in an apartment setting now and doing great. She is super on leash, and knows her potty commands well.   Moxie is great in the car too. She will make the perfect companion for running errands, or just taking a walk on the river.   She loves to play and snuggle ... she thinks she is a small breed dog, so she hogs the couch! Just a super big love bug waiting for a new place to call home.   Please call us today about her. She really needs a hero.  Moxie was born about November 2016.

Nova, age 5

To be eligible to apply, you must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure fenced-in yard, a solid vet reference.

Sometimes a girl just likes to get dressed up and look FABULOUS! This is our sweet NOVA ... an American Staffordshire Terrier of 5 and a half years old and 50 lbs. She is very docile, gentle, laid back and super sweet. We have also found Nova to be very smart, independent and loyal. She is such a good girl.

Let's face it, while Nova looks ready for the party, she is quite the couch potato. You won't find her on the dance floor, you'll find her on the bar stool, watching her watch, ready to make her move and slide out and go home to eat a late night snack and watch TV with her peeps, all snuggled up on the couch enjoying her real satisfaction, the love and comfort of a cozy home. This girl is a COUCH POTATO!

One of Nova's favorite things to do is nap. She likes to nap ... and we love her mushy face when she naps! Nova is also great on leash! She enjoys walks with her foster mom and foster brother!

This laid back and mellow girl is very friendly, affectionate and very low maintenance. She passed her dog test with flying colors and her kid test went amazingly well also.  Nova will not be placed in a home with cats, she is too interested in them. We feel like she will chase and antagonize, so let's leave that there.  She is an all around girl who just wants some love and affection, not to mention a forever home.  Nova is house trained and is working on her crate training. She has good inside dog manners.  Please consider her today - she will give you a lifetime of love and companionship, not to mention hard core loyalty!  Nova was born about March 2017.

Please contact Amy at 918-688-0755 or AmyH@rescuednready.com if you are interested in this dog.    Or CLICK HERE to download, then complete and submit an application. Adopters must live within 30 minutes of Tulsa.

The adoption fee is $225.00 and includes current vaccinations, negative heartworm test, deworming, microchip and spay surgery.

Ronan, age 3

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS live within 30 mins of Tulsa, have a secure,
fenced in yard, no cats, and a solid vet reference.

Ronan is a gorgeous male Giant Schnauzer of 3 and a half years old and 77 lbs and gaining! He should weigh about 85 lbs, and he is eating great and will be buff in no time! His pictures show him before and after shave down ... he will be hairy again in no time!  Ronan is a love ... and he has had a rough couple of years. A divorce kept him outside and not really being taken care of very well. He had to be shaved down due to the mats on his coat. His coat will grow in nicely though, so just imagine how handsome will be in no time! Those spots on his coat will fade, the eye drainage will go away and his ears will heal up nicely. Time and TLC, plus great vet meds will do the trick!

Ronan has an amazing temperament. He is friendly, affectionate, loyal, loving, energetic and very ready to find a place to call his new forever home. He is fun, is starting to be playful, definitely ready for some play time action! He will make a great companion dog, a very loyal fur friend.  Ronan is doing great with his house training and is doing great in his crate so far!  He was raised with children and did great with them. He has also been around other dogs, but Ronan is NOT a fan of cats, so no cats for this boy!

Ronan will require routine, professional grooming. Keep this in mind when you consider this breed. Each trip to the groomer will be $60+. Ronan was born about February 2019.

His foster home has two large labs and two cats. The interaction has been great, and sometimes, Sal likes to get a cat butt sniff in and the cats don't mind it! This boy is house trained if taken out routinely. He is affectionate, friendly, playful and he learns quickly. He also rides well in a car with his safety harness. He is working on his leash training and doing well!  Sal can be a bit skittish at first, but once he knows you, he is great. He knows commands such as sit, off, come and no. Scout, age 4

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure privacy fenced in yard, and a solid vet reference.

Meet SCOUT, our faithful and loving male Basenji mix of 4 and a half years old and 43 lbs. He is the perfect medium sized dog! Keep reading ... don't pass this handsome dude up!

Scout is affectionate, friendly, independent, he learns quickly and he is playful! He also rides well in the car. This guy is also good on leash, so we definitely see some walks in his future! This is a great way to keep your dog socialized and exercised!

Scout also likes to play fetch or run around the yard with his favorite ball in his mouth! He is house trained - BONUS - but hasn't started any crate training yet which likely isn't needed. In fact, if you baby gate him, he obeys the baby gate just fine and isn't naughty when you're not home, so baby gating is fine versus crating with this guy.

Scout has been in a home with other dogs. If they are laid back and easy going, he will do fine with them. A dog who challenges him and is dominant will scare him, so we don't want to place him with a dog who has that personality.

Scout is also fine with cats in the home, when introduced appropriately. As far as kids are concerned, he would do well with dog savvy kids, age 9 and up, and possibly one who would like to play fetch with him.

At night, he sleeps on his dog bed in the laundry room, behind the gate. He is normally home 4-8 hours per day while foster parents are at work.

He loves to play with balls, Kongs and he enjoys a game of fetch! He also loves to snuggle, so if you need a warm snuggle bug to keep you warm this winter, Scout is a great option!

Scout is active and energetic, so he will do well with someone who enjoys an active lifestyle, but again, he also likes to chill and cuddle; the best of both worlds!

Check him out today by calling us or by applying so we can start some discussion with you! Don't pass him up!

Scout was born about May 2018.

Teva, age 9 months

To be eligible to apply, you must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure fenced-in yard, and a solid vet reference.

Meet our fun girl TEVA!

Teva is a female Chocolate Labrador Mix of 9 months old and 36 lbs. We created a new breed, and we are calling her a "Purebred Vanilla-Toed Chocolate Pudding Cup" ... (okay, that's not a real breed, but she's as sweet a mix as we've seen!)

Just a youngster, Teva is great with other dogs and loves her humans most of all. She likes to cuddle up to them and will keep you warm on these cooler nights! But she's also happy to entertain herself noodling around in the yard doing important puppy stuff.

Teva is playful, fun, outgoing, friendly and affectionate. She has been cat tested and ignored them, and has been around younger kids without issues. In fact, she loved the attention she received from them, and the playtime!

She loves leash walks and sniffing to learn about the world. She is calm and happy to relax on a bed while you chill or work at the computer. She is quickly getting the hang of her potty training and crating.

Her manageable size, calm demeanor, silky chocolate coat, white toes and chest, and dazzling light eyes are sure to steal your heart. We doubt she will get much bigger, by the way, maybe a max of 40 lbs., such a perfect size!

Teva is also tolerant, as you can see from her Halloween costume. We tried to dress her up as a frog, but the costume was a little too short for her long torso. She was fun though! Check this fun girl out today!

Email us an application today about her and we will call you to discuss IF you meet the basic requirements mentioned in the very beginning of her bio. THANKS!

Teva was born about February 2022.

TJ, age 7

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure fenced-in yard, and a solid dog/vet reference.

TJ will do best as the only dog, so please keep this in mind as you read about him and possibly inquire about him. He will not be placed in a home with children under age 12
Are you a schnauzer lover? If so, get ready for TJ!  TJ is a handsome male Schnauzer of 7 yrs old and 22 lbs. He is affectionate, happy, playful, animated, loving, friendly, loyal, gentle and funny. He has a moderate energy level and is a non-shedding breed. He will require routine, professional dog grooming. He is great at the groomer!  Schnauzers are a unique breed, but full of love, affection and loyalty to their peeps. TJ is no exception. This guy is the most affectionate little love bug. Snuggling is an all time favorite hobby, so you'd better get your blankets, movies and books ready to snuggle with this darling boy.

TJ will do best with a retired family, or when someone works from home, or is home more than not. He is ok being alone, but will do best if not left alone for long periods of time.  TJ has not been cat tested yet but we will work on this and update this page soon  TJ is house trained and does best with a routine. You don't need to crate him, but he is crate trained. His crate is his "safe zone," like many dogs who enjoy their crates as their den or resting place. TJ's crate door is often left open for him to venture in and out as needed.  At night time, TJ has slept in bed with his humans. He is non shedding, so we would like his next owner to practice the same night time routine since he loves it so much.  Walking is also another favorite activity of TJs. He is great on leash and loves to be outside and explore. Like a typical schnauzer, he can be vocal when he sees another dog or people walking, but it is manageable with positive reinforcement so no worries here!

Toys, toys toys ... yep, you guessed it, he loves toys too. His favorite toys are small, soft squeaky toys; ones he can carry around in his mouth while "talking" to you about them.  This smarty pants knows some commands too! He knows sit, down, touch and shake. He will do just about anything for a treat! Maybe he can learn to do the dishes!! Now that would certainly be a dream dog!  We haven't had TH with small children, so to be safe and fair to him, we will only place him in a home with kids who are age 12 and up.  TJ truly is an all around guy ... you can walk with him, he will lay at your feet when you are working, he will be your true buddy.  Email us an application today about him and we will call you to discuss IF you meet the basic requirements mentioned in the very beginning of his bio.   TJ was born about March 11, 2015.

Please contact Amy at 918-688-0755 or  AmyH@rescuednready.com if you are interested in this dog.    Or CLICK HERE to download, then complete and submit an application. If you have trouble emailing, you can always text a pic of your app to Amy at 918-688-0755. Zeus, age 4

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure privacy fence around the entire back yard,
and a solid vet reference.

Meet the sweetest boy ever, Zeus. A 4 yr old American Bulldog/Sharpei mix of 72 lbs. This docile and loving boy was left to fend for himself in a neighborhood for two years. Other remaining family members fed him occasionally, and knew he was there needing a home, but didn't take him in. A dear friend of ours helped, gained trust, and today he is in a foster home doing amazing.   Zeus was an owned pet at one time, from the time he was a puppy until about 2 years old, then poof, they moved and left him. He is short and stocky, not overly large, so don't let that weight intimidate you.

Zeus is one of those dogs you call resilient. Resilient to humans who don't care and who don't treat their pets like family members. He is forgiving, loving and simply an amazing dog.  Please note that we would like to place Zeus in a home with another dog. He loves them and he loves to play. It helps him to feel secure with another dog in his life. A dog 25 lbs or more would be great for him!  Zeus is friendly and affectionate once he knows you. He is quicker to trust with women versus men, so that is an area we are working on ... he has acclimated to his foster home very quickly and nicely. He is playful, animated and happy to be at the party!  He is house trained, crate trained, LOVES to play with other dogs. He is fine with small, medium and large sized dogs, but due to his size, he will play safest with a dog 35 lbs and up!  Zeus is also fine with cats. He is a gentle boy. Actually, Zeus thinks he is about 20 lbs. He would love to cuddle with you on the couch and he leans on you for love. We keep telling him he is a tad larger than 20 lbs!

He has not been around young children, but dog savvy kids who are a little older would be fine with him.  For a doggo who has been ignored for a couple of years, he is doing incredibly well. In his foster home, he acts like he has been here for months, yet it's only been a few weeks.  Zeus is healthy and up to date on all vaccines, fecal exam, he is neutered and microchipped.  Now, he needs some applicants! So, check him out today, call about him and give him a chance. He will do best in a home with another dog, in home setting with a fenced in yard versus an apartment and if we can find a man-free home, that would be FANTASTIC.  Check him out today, trust us, he won't disappoint!

Zeus was born about April 2018.
