Moxie

To be eligible to apply, you must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure fenced-in yard, a solid vet reference.

Meet Moxie, a beautiful and dignified female Boxer mix of 5 years old and 66 lbs. She is a big girl, but a well behaved and gentle girl. If you are looking to have a well behaved only pet, Moxie is your girl!   Moxie is fully vetted, great with people and kids. She does well with most other dogs, but can be selective, so we are going to place her as an only dog. Moxie has lived with 3 other dogs in her home without a single issue.  She is great with kids, loves them, protects them and makes a great babysitter!  We have not cat tested her.   Moxie is extremely loyal, affectionate, friendly and frankly, is just perfect. She listens well. She knows sit and wait, off and no.   This beauty is house trained and can be left inside alone without having to crate her. She is temporarily in an apartment setting now and doing great. She is super on leash, and knows her potty commands well.   Moxie is great in the car too. She will make the perfect companion for running errands, or just taking a walk on the river.   She loves to play and snuggle ... she thinks she is a small breed dog, so she hogs the couch! Just a super big love bug waiting for a new place to call home.   Please call us today about her. She really needs a hero.  Moxie was born about November 2016.

Scout

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure privacy fenced in yard, and a solid vet reference.

Meet SCOUT, our faithful and loving male Basenji mix of 4 years old and 43 lbs. He is the perfect medium sized dog! Keep reading ... don't pass this handsome dude up!

Scout is affectionate, friendly, independent, he learns quickly and he is playful! He also rides well in the car. This guy is also good on leash, so we definitely see some walks in his future! This is a great way to keep your dog socialized and exercised!

Scout also likes to play fetch or run around the yard with his favorite ball in his mouth! He is house trained - BONUS - but hasn't started any crate training yet which likely isn't needed. In fact, if you baby gate him, he obeys the baby gate just fine and isn't naughty when you're not home, so baby gating is fine versus crating with this guy.

Scout has been in a home with other dogs. If they are laid back and easy going, he will do fine with them. A dog who challenges him and is dominant will scare him, so we don't want to place him with a dog who has that personality.

Scout is also fine with cats in the home, when introduced appropriately. As far as kids are concerned, he would do well with dog savvy kids, age 9 and up, and possibly one who would like to play fetch with him.

At night, he sleeps on his dog bed in the laundry room, behind the gate. He is normally home 4-8 hours per day while foster parents are at work.

He loves to play with balls, Kongs and he enjoys a game of fetch! He also loves to snuggle, so if you need a warm snuggle bug to keep you warm this winter, Scout is a great option!

Scout is active and energetic, so he will do well with someone who enjoys an active lifestyle, but again, he also likes to chill and cuddle; the best of both worlds!

Check him out today by calling us or by applying so we can start some discussion with you! Don't pass him up!

Scout was born about May 2018.

Skeeter

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure
fenced in yard, and a solid vet reference.

AMAZING DOG ALERT!  Take a look at this sweet senior guy named Skeeter! Skeeter is a precious Chihuahua mix of 9 yrs old and 19 lbs. He is very healthy and needs to lose a few more pounds to get to his ideal weight.  Skeeter was adopted from us several years ago, but was returned because his family was moving out of state and didn't want to make the proper accommodations to bring him along. On top of this sadness, they allowed him to become very overweight. Thankfully, he still has the same sweet spirit he had before AND he has already lost several pounds and is on his way to looking fabulous!

Skeeter has a front right leg deformity. It doesn’t seem to bother him at all. He can run around the yard and play like a dog with a normal foot. As if his recent story wasn't 'enough, he was either born this way with his foot, or it was broken at one time and not properly repaired by the people who owned him. He was originally abandoned inside of an apartment, which is how he ended up in our rescue program many years ago.  Don't let a few pounds get in the way of loving this guy.  He is super sweet, happy, funny, friendly, affectionate, and is good with everyone he meets!

Skeeter always has a smile on his face!  He loves being a great snuggle buddy for just about anyone!  Skeeter is great with other dogs and cats at his foster home.  He loves playing with his special blue stuff toy and most other stuffed toys.  He is does well walking on a leash and walking is a great way to shed a few pounds.  Skeeter is house trained and will crate if needed, but generally has good indoor doggie manners and would also do fine behind a baby gate versus the crate option.  This guy enjoyed his Halloween and Christmas costumes; so tolerant and calm about the whole dress up thing! He truly is a great dog.

Skeeter can be placed in a home as an only dog, or with other dogs. He seemed to ignore the cats at the vet's office. He is a moderate shedder, probably a 5 on scale of 1-10 with 10 being extremely high shedding.  Skeeter prefers a laid back home so we would prefer to only place him in a home where the children are over the age of 12.  This handsome guy will make a wonderful and loving companion, so check him out today!  Skeeter was born about April 2014.

Zeus

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure privacy fence around the entire back yard,
and a solid vet reference.

Meet the sweetest boy ever,  Zeus. A 4 yr old American Bulldog mix of 74 lbs. This docile and loving boy was left to fend for himself in a neighborhood for two years.

Zeus was an owned pet at one time, from the time he was a puppy until about 2 years old, then poof, they moved and left him. He is short and stocky.

This is one of those dogs we call resilient. Resilient to humans who don't care and who don't treat their pets like family members. He is forgiving, loving and simply an amazing dog.

Please note that we would like to place Zeus in a home with another dog. He loves them and he loves to play. In fact, he loves the ladies, so placing him in a home with a female playmate would be fantastic! It helps him to feel secure with another doggie in his life. A dog 30 lbs or more would be great for him!

Zeus is friendly and affectionate once he knows you. He is quicker to trust with women versus men, so that is an area we are still working on but have had some break throughs for usre! He has acclimated to his foster home very quickly and nicely. He is playful, animated and happy to be at the party!  He is house trained and crate trained. He loves sturdy chew toys like nyla bones or antlers.  He is fine with small, medium and large sized dogs, but due to his size, he will play safest with a dog 30 lbs and up!

Zeus is also fine with cats. He is a gentle boy. Actually, Zeus thinks he is about 20 lbs. He would love to cuddle with you on the couch and he leans on you for love. We keep telling him he is a tad larger than 20 lbs!  He has not been around young children, but dog savvy kids who are a little older would be fine with him.  Zeus is healthy and up to date on all vaccines, fecal exam, he is neutered and microchipped.

Check him out today, trust us, he won't disappoint!

Zeus was born about April 2018.
