Nova, age 5

To be eligible to apply, you must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure fenced-in yard, a solid vet reference.

Sometimes a girl just likes to get dressed up and look FABULOUS! This is our sweet NOVA ... an American Staffordshire Terrier of 5 and a half years old and 50 lbs. She is very docile, gentle, laid back and super sweet. We have also found Nova to be very smart, independent and loyal. She is such a good girl.

Let's face it, while Nova looks ready for the party, she is quite the couch potato. You won't find her on the dance floor, you'll find her on the bar stool, watching her watch, ready to make her move and slide out and go home to eat a late night snack and watch TV with her peeps, all snuggled up on the couch enjoying her real satisfaction, the love and comfort of a cozy home.  This laid back and mellow girl is very friendly, affectionate and very low maintenance. She passed her dog test with flying colors and her kid test went amazingly well also.  Nova will not be placed in a home with cats, she is too interested in them. We feel like she will chase and antagonize, so let's leave that there.  She is an all around girl who just wants some love and affection, not to mention a forever home.  Nova is house trained and is working on her crate training. She has good inside dog manners.  Please consider her today - she will give you a lifetime of love and companionship, not to mention hard core loyalty!  Nova was born about March 2017.

Please contact Amy at 918-688-0755 or AmyH@rescuednready.com if you are interested in this dog.    Or CLICK HERE to download, then complete and submit an application. Adopters must live within 30 minutes of Tulsa.

The adoption fee is $225.00 and includes current vaccinations, negative heartworm test, deworming, microchip and spay surgery.

Radar, age 10

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS live within 30 mins of Tulsa, have a secure,
fenced in yard and a solid vet reference.

"ALMOST" SENIOR ALERT!!!  Meet Radar, our male "almost" senior Chihuahua mix of 10 yrs old and 10 lbs. Prerequisite #1 ... must have squirrels in the yard for Radar to chase! This guy does NOT act 10, so get ready for some action!   Radar is very friendly, affectionate and extremely sweet. He bonds with his people quickly. He will do best with a family who has a rotating schedule or when one person is home more often than not. He just likes to be with his family, but will settle down when you aren't home. He will do best in a home setting, no apartment living for this guy.   We feel Radar would do best with children over the age of 12 in the home.

Radar is an active little guy when he is in the yard, looking, scoping, chasing and hunting squirrels at every chance. He doesn't bark constantly at them, he is just intent on them, watching them and making sure he can try to get them or supervising their squirrel activities!   Radar is quiet and calm inside the home, he mostly sleeps in his bed. It's interesting, because he acts like a 6 year old in the yard, but once he comes in, he chills out! He does keep a close eye on foster mom though. Enjoys her company and supervises her activities inside too!   He is great with his foster siblings, all small dogs. He has been around one large dog at a different foster home, without issue.

Radar is good on leash and loves to go on walks!    Radar is completely house broken but doesn't prefer to be crated. He has great indoor doggie manners, so crating really isn't necessary. Baby gating him in a small area until he is secure and compliant inside a new home is a recommended approach! Let him get into a routine and settle in.   He initially barked at foster mom's cat, but seems to be calmer now. He is always gated off from cat though, so we aren't sure how he would do living with a cat.   Radar is a good eater. He feels so much better after he has his dental cleaning when he had multiple teeth pulled. His mouth had to be hurting him with so many bad teeth inside his mouth! He is completely healthy, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to roll into another 6+ years of love and happiness.   Don't pass him by, he deserves love too!   Radar was born about July 2012.

Riker, age 10 months

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS live within 30 mins of Tulsa, have a secure,
fenced in yard and a solid vet reference.

We have a MINI HUSKY! This guy is a mix of something smaller, so he won't get big like a purebred Husky, but he sure is cute. His name is Riker and he is 10 months old and 30 lbs. He likely won't get much bigger, but he will fill out.

Riker has gorgeous blue eyes, as you can see from his pictures. He is fun, friendly, happy, affectionate, playful and ready for love.

Riker guy has been wonderful with kids (6 yr old twins) and is super with other dogs. He simply loves to play with them. He is 99% house trained and we are working on crate training. He is smart and is doing very well so far on all of his new disciplines! Riker knows "sit" and "off". He wants to please and is working hard to learn lots of new things in his foster home. He is treat motivated, so that makes training a little easier.

Riker ignored the cats at our vet's office, so he may do well with a cat in the home if introduced slowly and appropriately. Riker will make a great family pet, so please, check him out today and give us a call!

Riker was born about November 2021.

Ronan, age 3

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS live within 30 mins of Tulsa, have a secure,
fenced in yard, no cats, and a solid vet reference.

Ronan is a gorgeous male Giant Schnauzer of 3 and a half years old and 77 lbs and gaining! He should weigh about 85 lbs, and he is eating great and will be buff in no time! His pictures show him before and after shave down ... he will be hairy again in no time!  Ronan is a love ... and he has had a rough couple of years. A divorce kept him outside and not really being taken care of very well. He had to be shaved down due to the mats on his coat. His coat will grow in nicely though, so just imagine how handsome will be in no time! Those spots on his coat will fade, the eye drainage will go away and his ears will heal up nicely. Time and TLC, plus great vet meds will do the trick!

Ronan has an amazing temperament. He is friendly, affectionate, loyal, loving, energetic and very ready to find a place to call his new forever home. He is fun, is starting to be playful, definitely ready for some play time action! He will make a great companion dog, a very loyal fur friend.  Ronan is doing great with his house house training and is doing great in his crate so far!  He was raised with children and did great with them. He has also been around other dogs, but Ronan is NOT a fan of cats, so no cats for this boy!  Ronan just needs some TLC and some patience as he acclimates to a new life. He has been a total gentleman since we took him into our care but he does have some anxiety. He isn't destructive, but he is nervous until he acclimates. This can take up to 3 - 4 weeks. This is where a patient owner and one who can provide him with a solid exercise plan will be very helpful.  Ronan will require routine, professional grooming. Keep this in mind when you consider this breed. Each trip to the groomer will be $60+.   Ronan was born about February 2019.

Twitch, age 4

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure fence in yard, and a solid vet reference.

Twitch is a fun guy - he is 4 and a half years old and 34 lbs., the perfect size. He's not too big and not too small! This darling boy is a mixed breed dog ... we aren't sure what he is, but he is short legged like a Dachshund and has the head of a Beagle, but we don't want to call him a mutt, even though he is clearly a mutt. Whatever he is, he sure is darling.  Twitch is house trained and crate trained. He has very good inside doggie manners. He can be playful, but laid back too.   He is good with other dogs, mostly small dogs. Sometimes, bigger dogs intimidate him. He passed his cat test  with flying colors.  Twitch would be fine with kids. He is animated, so would probably love a kiddo in his life, but adults would be great too, of course.  He is playful, he loves his toys and plays by himself quite well so he would also do well as an only dog.  Give this boy a chance, he sure is cute and has the goofiest smile! He would make a wonderful family pet. Twitch was born about March 2018.

Zeus, age 4

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure privacy fence around the entire back yard,
and a solid vet reference.

Meet the sweetest boy ever, Zeus. A 4 yr old American Bulldog/Sharpei mix of 72 lbs. This docile and loving boy was left to fend for himself in a neighborhood for two years. Other remaining family members fed him occasionally, and knew he was there needing a home, but didn't take him in. A dear friend of ours helped, gained trust, and today he is in a foster home doing amazing.   Zeus was an owned pet at one time, from the time he was a puppy until about 2 years old, then poof, they moved and left him. He is short and stocky, not overly large, so don't let that weight intimidate you.

Zeus is one of those dogs you call resilient. Resilient to humans who don't care and who don't treat their pets like family members. He is forgiving, loving and simply an amazing dog.  Please note that we would like to place Zeus in a home with another dog. He loves them and he loves to play. It helps him to feel secure with another dog in his life. A dog 25 lbs or more would be great for him!  Zeus is friendly and affectionate once he knows you. He is quicker to trust with women versus men, so that is an area we are working on ... he has acclimated to his foster home very quickly and nicely. He is playful, animated and happy to be at the party!  He is house trained, crate trained, LOVES to play with other dogs. He is fine with small, medium and large sized dogs, but due to his size, he will play safest with a dog 35 lbs and up!  Zeus is also fine with cats. He is a gentle boy. Actually, Zeus thinks he is about 20 lbs. He would love to cuddle with you on the couch and he leans on you for love. We keep telling him he is a tad larger than 20 lbs!

He has not been around young children, but dog savvy kids who are a little older would be fine with him.  For a doggo who has been ignored for a couple of years, he is doing incredibly well. In his foster home, he acts like he has been here for months, yet it's only been a few weeks.  Zeus is healthy and up to date on all vaccines, fecal exam, he is neutered and microchipped.  Now, he needs some applicants! So, check him out today, call about him and give him a chance. He will do best in a home with another dog, in home setting with a fenced in yard versus an apartment and if we can find a man-free home, that would be FANTASTIC.  Check him out today, trust us, he won't disappoint!

Zeus was born about April 2018.

Zoey, age 6

To be eligible to apply, you must live within 30 mins of Tulsa,
have a secure fenced-in yard, a solid vet reference.

Look at this sweet face girl named Zoey! She is a precious Corgi mix of 6 yrs old and 32 lbs. and yes, Zoey is on a diet. She is very healthy, just a little overweight, so the exercise and diet plan has begun!  Don't let a few pounds get in the way of loving this girl. She is super sweet, happy, funny, friendly, affectionate, playful and is good with everyone she meets! She loves belly rubs and can also be a great snuggle buddy for the upcoming cooler weather!  Zoey is great with other dogs and ignored the cats at the vet's office. She is doing nicely with her leash training too, so walking is a great way to shed a few pounds.  Zoey is house trained and is learning about crate training, but generally has good indoor doggie manners.  Zoey's human had to move for medical reasons, and a family member was not willing for her to come along. It was heart wrenching for both of them, but she has adjusted being away from mom and is having fun at her foster house with all the dogs and a big back yard to frolic around in!  This darling girl will make a wonderful and loving family pet, so check her out today!   Zoey was born about September 2016.

Meet Moxie, a beautiful and dignified female Boxer mix of 5 years old and 66 lbs. She is a big girl, but a well behaved and gentle girl. If you are looking to have a well behaved only pet, Moxie is your girl!   Moxie is fully vetted, great with people and kids. She does well with most other dogs, but can be selective, so we are going to place her as an only dog. Moxie has lived with 3 other dogs in her home without a single issue.  She is great with kids, loves them, protects them and makes a great babysitter!  We have not cat tested her.   Moxie is extremely loyal, affectionate, friendly and frankly, is just perfect. She listens well. She knows sit and wait, off and no.   This beauty is house trained and can be left inside alone without having to crate her. She is temporarily in an apartment setting now and doing great. She is super on leash, and knows her potty commands well.   Moxie is great in the car too. She will make the perfect companion for running errands, or just taking a walk on the river.   She loves to play and snuggle ... she thinks she is a small breed dog, so she hogs the couch! Just a super big love bug waiting for a new place to call home.   Please call us today about her. She really needs a hero.  Moxie was born about November 2016.
